Roger de Sa signed Masibusane Zongo based on talent

'Respect Zongo, he will respect you'

Bidvest Wits coach Roger de Sa says his decision to sign Masibusane Zongo was based purely on talent.  

The 21-year-old has developed some reputation for being a ‘problem child', but De Sa tells KickOff.com he has previously got the best out of players who were on the path to self-destruction.
 
"Let's give him [Zongo] a chance and let's see what would happen," De Sa says.
 
"I wasn't concerned about Emille Baron's history or Wayne Roberts or OJ [Mbulelo Mabizela] or Thando Mngomeni. They all performed for me… Respect and trust them and they will respect you and that goes for Zongo," he says.
 
Zongo will fill the void left by Sifiso Myeni, who has signed for Orlando Pirates.
 
"Also, Thando and Nyiko [Tshabangu] are out injured so we needed a player there [left wing]," De Sa concludes.

No one can doubt the talent of this young man. Having said that I just hope he realises how fortunate he is to be offered so many opportunities to revive his career. I hope this time he will appreciates it and grab it with both hands , if not so he will be crying over spilled milk when he has no one and have no career....

This is the worst decision De Sa has ever made. Nobody doubts Zongo talent, its his behaviour that is the problem. As soon as he has money in his pocket, the REAL ZONGO will show up.

These type of players have the ability to destabilise squad with their behaviour. We have seen countless of players like Zongo, and they only go in one direction: DOWN

Mr De sa, please prepare Zongo for Pirates, Chiefs was suppose to make a move before Wits on this boy. This boy does n't play football, football respond to his tunes, he makes the ball dance n defenders fall all over the places.

Zongo the man, what a talent this boy has!!!!! With all due respect to all our skillful players, ZOngo is second only to Creame'(Thulani Serero) in terms of the best young players in the country, for his own sake i hope he sorts his life out, lest he ends up like the once feared Jabu Pule!!!!!!!!!
