Steven Pienaar signs for Everton

‘Schillo’ back at Everton

Posted: 2012-02-01 06:47

Everton has signed Tottenham midfielder Steven Pienaar on loan until the end of the season.

The Bafana Bafana captain left the Toffees last year to join Spurs in a £2million deal, but has struggled to break into the first team at White Hart Lane.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy were discussing the deal for most of the day and negotiations advanced following the completion of Tuesday's Premier League games.

The deal to bring Pienaar back to the club where he made his name in England was sealed just before the 11pm deadline.

Pienaar has made just seven appearances for Harry Redknapp's side this season, scoring once in the Europa League win against Shamrock Rovers.

Before his move last year the 29-year-old had become a fan-favourite at Goodison Park after joining on loan from Borussia Dortmund in 2007 and then making his move permanent in 2008.

He played 130 times scoring 13 goals and will now look to add to his reputation among the Toffees fans in his second spell at the club.

Well I will be honest with u and tell u what u have to hear. When pitso made u a captain u were suppose to refuse. Banana has 1 captain and that is Aaron. Ever since that dog became our captain, dose who oppose him or take his position never last inthe game. It was first old john(namanje usahlanya imithi kaMbazo), Rhee Zuma the team lost all 3 games and bad lucks started to follow him. Modise, yourself and shabba. Recently Gavin Hunt drop Morgan Gould and Yeye will be out for the remainder of the season bcos of that captain armband.

Amen

I think he made a mistake of choosing Tottenham over Chelsea. His position at Chelsea is still vacant, but he thought he was going to get more game time at Tottenham. It is disturbing to learn that the coach even told the media that he has been ignoring him. I think Tottenham's stlye of play is much faster that his and he will hardly get a game time. You cant expect Bale and Lennon to be benched because of Schillo.

This was the reason I pose a question that, what difference does it make to leave the Toffees in the first place!!!

KidKudu7: 2012-02-01 09:31

Good to see @ least you'll be getting some game time @ Everton & please stop faking injuries when call up for Bafana Bafana to play accross Africa!!!

What happened to Shabba replacing Pienaar at Everton, maybe the deal will not go through because Pieanaar is going back to Everton.

This boy has made his mark in Europe, he just need to cash in with signing on fees before coming back to play for the team he support. Schilo no one is using the number 10 jersey at Pirates boet.

Good luck to you Schillo. Show Rednapp that he was making mistake of excluding you in his lineup.
