Mphela's QPR chances fade

Posted: 2012-01-31 14:51

Katlego Mphela’s hopes of joining English Premiership side Queens Park Rangers during the January transfer window look to have been dashed.

The Mamelodi Sundowns striker was tipped to head off to Loftus Road after QPR manager Mark Hughes made an enquiry about his availability.

Hughes is desperate to add some players to his squad, and was also linked with a move for Mphela’s Bafana Bafana teammate Steven Pienaar.

That deal might still happen before the transfer window closes at midnight, but Mphela looks set to miss out after Hughes turned his attention to French international Djibril Cisse.

The former Liverpool striker, who is currently struggling for first team action at Serie A club Lazio, has been tipped to join QPR in a £4-million deal before the end of the day.

Mr Editor give us more details about Hughes'enquiry on Killer?.Who did he speak to and when? Stop copying half facts and report about them, for once do your stupid job. Nxa

By the way Killer is earning enough here @ home and Hughes will be sacked before March

The Ghost: 2012-01-31 18:51

It is their loss, Killer is a fine striker and what he has to do is channel that anger into goals at the 2013 AFCON.

This is sad, I hope it does not affect the moral of our players. Like Rudi Gullit once said. Maybe it's time that South Africa does it's own thing, perhaps like Brazil, we just work on the quality of our league and continue to bring expertise from outside to grow our league, that way we will not be treated like 3rd Grade citizens, like we experience it when our players go abroad.
