Mokotjo hoping for new Dutch deal

The 20-year-old played 90 minutes as Ronald Koeman's side beat their big rivals for the first time since 2007. Mokotjo joined Feyenoord from SuperSport United in 2008 and is out of contract at the end of the season.   But with Dutch rules stipulating that non-Europeans who have played in Holland for three seasons no longer count as foreign players, agent Karel Jansen believes he will be offered the chance to stay at the De Kuip Stadium.      "Feyenoord has an option to extend the contract and they will decide soon officially what to do," he tells KickOff.com.   "We don't know when it will be but my feeling is that they will take up the option because Kamohelo has been doing very well."   The absence of Moroccan Karim El Ahmadi at the African Nations Cup has seen Mokotjo handed his chance by Koeman. And Jansen admits he is delighted to see him grasp the opportunity.   "It was planned that Kamohelo would play instead of him and that is exactly what is happening at the moment," he says.   "He has been very close to the starting eleven for most of the season but had the misfortune that El Ahmadi has come through as one of the team's best players so that has kept him waiting. But he is doing the job that he has to do now and Feyenoord are very positive about him."   Mokotjo was called up for the national Under-23 side that contested the Olympic qualifiers back in November but was refused permission to play by his club as it fell on a non-Fifa date. Now he is hoping for a call-up to the full Bafana Bafana squad having already been mentioned by coach Pitso Mosimane as a player for the future.     "He is very eager to play for South Africa and now he is playing for Feyenoord, you never know what will happen," says Jansen.   "I know they have watched him and that he has played for the younger national teams. If there is an official date and the club will allow him to go then he would gladly join up with the team."
