Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Koketso Mmotong not going to Moroka Swallows

Swallows not signing Mmotong

Posted: 2012-01-30 20:27

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Koketso Mmotong looks likely to be staying where he is after Moroka Swallows decided against signing him.

Mmotong spent some time with Swallows last season but was recalled by Sundowns, where he extended his stay at Chloorkop for a further year.

However the midfielder was not in the plans of new coach Johan Neeskens and relegated to train with the club reserve side.

Mmotong was linked with a move back to Swallows before the transfer deadline but unfortunately coach Gordon Igesund has decided not to sign him.

"We won't be signing Mmotong," says Igesund.

"I am happy with the squad that I have and won't be signing any players," he adds.

Efforts to get hold of Mmotong proved futile as failed to return our calls.

Breaking News:Mamelodi Sundowns has ruled out the signing of Sifiso Myeni in a last minute transfer.

That leaves out Chiefs & Pirates for his services.

@nteoo u seriously think that your stupid team can compete for a player with Pirates ?? Which player in his right mind can chose Swallows over Mighty Bucs unless he want to play in Mvela. If I was a fan of a stupid tim like Swallows I would be ashamed to comment in this forum.

Member Nteoo, U are right when U say this boy is one the sailors who kept the Nest ship sailing to safety. What you must also remember is the fact that his career was also on the rocks at that time, he also needed a team that could help him revive his career. Just like Ritson who decided to run away after seeing his career taking off. I really don't feel anything for them and Gordon is right "we are happy with our squad". Fly like a Bird

Lazy Kickoff, let me help you since you are still asleep: Pirates have signed Nyawana on a three year deal and Chiefs have signed broken leg Myeni on a 5 year deal. Nyawana was only signed to shine the trophies in our cabinet. He will get 5X the salary he was getting at Inkatha Freedom Chiefs.
