Nigeria's duo of Christian Obodo and Joel Obi enjoyed mixed fortunes in Sunday's Serie A match between Leece and Inter Milan at the Stadio Comunale Via del Mare.
While Obi lasted for 72 minutes before being replaced by Mauro Zarate in the encounter, Obodo was introduced in the 79th minute as Leece ended Inter Milan’s seven-match winning streak in the Italian topflight, which also allowed Lazio to jump ahead of the Nerazzurri into fourth place.
Uruguayan midfielder Guillermo Giacomazzi scored Lecce's lone goal in the 40th minute as Inter had two goals called back for offside.
Obodo's Leece are currently placed 19th on the Serie A league log with 13 points from 19 matches.
