Former Flying Eagles captain Odion Ighalo scored Granada's opener in the 2-1 win at Real Betis on Sunday in a Spanish topflight fixture.
Ighalo who was cautioned in the 82nd minute, hit the target in the 13th minute with a low shot from the edge of the area, and that ensured Granada's new coach, Abel Resino got off to a winning start as his team moved out of the Spanish league relegation zone.
Carlos Martins added the visitors' second five minutes before halftime.
Real Betis improved after the interval and substitute Jonathan Pereira made it 2-1 in the 81st.
Before this game, Ighalo and compatriot, Ikechukwu Uche spearheading Granada's attack have hit only four away goals this season.
Uche missed the fixture with illness.
