Ajax interested in Orlando Pirates striker Bongani Ndulula

Ajax interested in Ndulula

Posted: 2012-01-30 10:28

Ajax Cape Town have confirmed their interest in Bongani Ndulula, but a deal is unlikely to happen.

Ndulula has struggled in front of goal for Orlando Pirates all season, managing a single goal in seven official appearances, but Ajax CEO George Comitis believes the striker could add value to the Urban Warriors.

“If Ndulula was available we would be interested, but I don’t think he is available. He would play with us,” Comitis says.

Ajax would be willing to take the player on loan for six months with an option of a permanent deal, but Comitis concedes it is a long shot.

“I heard rumours that they [Pirates] were gonna let him go, but I don’t think that’s true,” Comitis adds.

Pirates say Ndulula is staying at the club and will play a role not only in the domestic league, but also in the CAF Champions League.

Another reckless reporting from Kickoff.

Why print such nonsense?

Its unbelievable to think Comitis would say I heard a rumor instead of engaging Pirates directly.

This is just an off record talk that shouldn't have been printed.

SpecialOne : 2012-01-30 10:42

Mr. Comitis say SWAP, then walla, open sesame. SWAP is the code word. The team from Orlando is famous for SWAPPING youngsters to pay old tired madalas.

Mara Ajax.....I mean really now
What you gonna do with a "used condom" ?

Can't even make smart run in the box, can't trap the ball without touching it 3 times before .....nxa

Ndulula an asset ? you must be joking !!
Are you out your mind OR twisted somewhere.....where it hurts most?

Wandile : 2012-01-30 10:47

He would fit in like a condom if he were to join Ajax.

Perhaps his fortunes would change and he would score in the correct hole instead of missing it like he is currently doing.

mzwandile: 2012-01-30 10:53

This guy must not leave, i am a chiefs fan but this boy i admit he is talented. He formed a deadly combination with Happy jele and he is the one who made thos runs when jele was a top scorer before getting injured. I just think he misses jele upfront!

They don't know whether they are going or coming..
They learned from Daneboom fc aka Mamelodi Suncows..

The condom is no longer wanted at Nkandla Pirates.

king jury : 2012-01-30 10:55

i think ndulula must remain at pirates he wil learn alot from expirience strikers like benni and morte.he is young and talented.

what r dy gna do with a used choice condom? this guy is slow, without skill and seems confused wen he has da ball.
ajax must not agree to any Swap deals the toothless Chairman may come up with.

Gucci Man: 2012-01-30 11:09

This is just another way of marketing/overrating this used condom in PSL .
Recently it was the media about this thing going overseas , now its Ajax CT.......
If he's good would be leading goal scorer right now BUT he's a benchwarmer at Nyaope FC. This is the same strategy The Secretary is using to motivate his RATS.....

Lucky Lekgwathi going to Spain/ FC Barca ...to replace the ageing Puyol
It was Happy Jele going to France
Then It was necklace thief Jali from Matatiela going overseas and....
Tlou "Kudukudu" going to Belgium and now its this thing Ndulula

Remember Ngcobo managed to score a brace in the final against the over-rated galaxy of frogs.

If you think this used condom is also an asset for our national team ....then I suggest you check your dictionary and get the correct meaning of the word "asset"....maybe its just one of these words you guys from Mayfair randomly use when you open your mouth.....

Comitis, please stay away from Drogba, This boy contributed big time to the Treble achievement.

Leal has a weakness of not focusing on S.W.O.T for players, Drogba reads the game very well and he is very clinical in the box, but Leal prefers him as a starter.

I dont want to brag about his record in the national under 23 because this boy can be an asset for Pitso any day.

Swona Champ!: 2012-01-30 11:32

Khoza is always signing about to be pensioners, yet he does not have young players, can he keep this about to be old man so for this season he can learn from Benni and Boa Mota, we need to get good under 17player in the 1st for this guys to transfer skil to them, if we can get 5-7boys, in 3yrs, in a yr we might have half of the 1st team and maybe Bafana might get a coach who will select an 18yr old to his team, we know the idiot in charge of Bafana now think at 21, you still young to play for the national team, Jali's axample!

For those who are saying he is an asset please read the first line of this story...."Ndulula has struggled in front of goal for Orlando Pirates all season, managing a single goal in seven official appearances"

LOL....U gotta love it for Kick-Off.

Just In: BucKHAYA LABADALA FC....are not agreeing to the terms of a swap deal for Ndulula since the tecnhical team mislead the management by stating that Musa Otieno was an Ajax player. Lucky Lekgwathi when commenting he said he was dissapointed and cannot thank the chairman this time around since he always dreamed of a defence partnership with his icon and role model Musa Otieno.

Hawu madoda..! Everybody is interested in laying his hands on Orlando Pirates players now. What will Pirates be left with. Do all these teams think by having an Orlando Pirates player in their camp will make them achieve what Pirates achieved..! No..! is the answer..! Unless they also acquire the services of Dr Irvin Khoza..!

This boy is not going anywhere. We are not going to part with our prized assets to any local team. The reason why Teko, Gift (May his sole rest in peace), Lebo Mokoena and recently Mdledle were sold to Sundowns is because they were either troublesome or benchwarmers. We sold them for millions of Rands to our milk cow and that did not affect our performance as a team

This boy at 21 has won all the medals that Shabalala has won is his career and more (League Championship). Oh, just to remind everyone, this young lad has not failed trials to 2 Mvela teams in his career. We sold Teko for more money than Shabalala was worth to the international market at his peak (Soon after scoring in the World Cup). Now, a Chimpanzee has a nerve to question this boy’s quality at the expense of that Dreadlocked perennial loser who did not only embarrassed his lousy team but the entire country for being the first National team captain in the entire world to fail trials in some inferior league in the bushes of England.

David Hadebe won everything at Kaizer Chiefs but that did not subject him as an asset and an out-of-this-world player.

Any way if thats your case then Djiehoa is also of Messi's calibre. He was an asset too.

@Feelosopher (Rats Fans are Morons), Ndulula is far better than any player right now at Chiefs.

That is why he is fast running out of space to hang his Gold medals. Your SuperStar Mr MaTrials has no league medal at 27 years of age and has already been rejected by two unknown teams in an unknown league somewhere in Europe.

The point was not winning everything, Dont just read, read with a skill and that is reading comprehensively.

The point was his age as an induced factor based on the notion that he future ahead. unlike your Sibeko's and where is David Radebe by the way and Kaizer Jnr. Drogba is key player for the natonal under 23, teams in Africa fear him and its just a pity Leal has not yet found a way of utilizing him.

This is one boy who is very patient, when Celtics dumped, Pirates took him in and started him with YEBO YES, he scored goals like nobody's business and was promoted to the first team under the watchful eye of Ruud Kroll Mr Orange/Pink shirt.

Kroll created a PDP for Bongani and he was introducing him gradually, unfortunately Kroll left.

With Ajax looking to sign Kroll and the sudden interest in Ndulula tell the quality of this boy. This boy has an eye for goals.

Plateau United striker George Akpabio has penned a deal to feature for South African PSL side Ajax Cape Town.

Akpabio was among the top scorers in Nigeria league last term with 17 goals despite his team's poor run in the NPL.

He came through the youth ranks of Plateau United, who this season are campaigning in the Nigeria lower league after they were relegated last season.

An estatic Akpabio revealed to MTNFootball.com few minutes after the paper work was done and he had put pen to paper.

"I just want to inform you that I am now an Ajax Cape Town player. I just signed the contract,” said the striker, who was on trials for three weeks.

“I am happy that I got the contract, I can now settle down to face a new challenge.”

Akpabio was on trials with Viking FC of Norway but could not pen a deal. He was also on the wanted list of clubs in Turkey and Nigeria before he moved to South Africa
