Platinum Stars deny Nyandoro interest

Posted: 2012-01-27 14:49

Platinum Stars have poured cold water on media reports linking 32-year-old Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Esrom Nyandoro with a move to them.

A Zimbabwean news website, www.newzimbabwe.com, says "Stars are interested" in Nyandoro, who has seen little action since the arrival of coach Johan Neeskens.

This has sparked speculation of the former Sundowns captain crossing floors to Platinum Stars before the January transfer window closes at the end of the month.

Nyandoro has only featured in two of the Brazilians' 15 League matches as a substitute.

In a chat with KickOff.com, Platinum Stars general manager Jason Raine ruled out the possibility of acquiring Nyandoro, who is still contracted with the Brazilians until 2013.

"No. These are just rumours," says Raine.

"We have not approached Esrom Nyandoro. The procedure is that if we are interested in a player, we approach the player's club first. We then go to the player if we have been given the green light to proceed.

"We have not approached Sundowns regarding Esrom," adds Raine.

Yellowman has served the Dawana family with distinction. However, the last 2 seasons have shown that it is time he makes way for bo Kekana,Zwane et al.

Hope that he plays for another team and we keep him in our development structures as soon as he hangs up his boots. A true gentleman of the game on and out of the field. Hard worker, never goes chickens out of a tackle; does not fight with Refs or opponents. Just did what was expected of him; GIVE 100% die julle tyd.

@Wandile I fully agree with u Yellowman served Dawana with distinction. He deserve to be given a role when he retires. what a player he was commited, disciplined and he scored some memorable goals for us.As for leaving us I dont think he can stil play 90 minutes.

Yellowman shall remain YELLOW. End of story!

NO FLOORCROSSING! NOTHING. NADA!

We need him as a source of inspiration and as a source of knowledge for our quest to conquer Mzansi. His rich experience is invaluable, he does not necessarily have to play 100 games for some of us to hold him at high regard.

For me he is a LEGEND. His loyal and unquestionable service throughout the years for Mamelodi Sundowns F.C. has engraved his name in my heart for ever and ever. What a wonder of a human being.

I repeat: Esrom 'Yellowman' Nyandoro SHALL remain YELLOW!!!

Yellow I Was, Yellow I Am & Yellow I Will Remain! [SMILING:-)]

I need to warn Mphela's agent, the honourable Glyn Binkin, he must stop this foolish approach of telling the media how must Mphela is a target of some foreign clubs when nothing concrete comes out of it.
