Mensah back for Guinea clash

Ghana will have their first choice centre back pairing of Isaac Vorsah and John Mensah back for their final group game against Guinea.

This is after the Confederation of Africa Football confirmed that Mensah will miss only the game against Mali on Saturday despite his straight red card against Botswana.

Under CAF rules a straight red card fetches a two game suspension but the suspension applies to game in which the red card is handed.

Vorsah is also returning from a three game suspension for a red card for violent conduct in the final qualifying game against Sudan.

The return of the pair should ease Ghana's defensive concerns in that final game but there are immediate concerns for the Black Stars in Saturday's game where John Boye and Jonathan Mensah are expected to be the centre back pairing.

When John Mensah got a red card against Botswana it struck me that he might be holding a unique record of picking red cards at the competiion.

Previously he was also send off in Afcon Finals. If I'm ot mistaken it must be in Ghana.

This CAF Rules make me sick, there seem to be an inconsistancy in their application and furthermore no one has clue about them until a particular scenario/fiasco occurs remember Nigeria 2006 WC QUALIFICATION,SOUTH AFRICA 2012 AFCON QUALIFIC & NAMIBIA'S genuied protest against that defaulter player CAMEROUN used by BURKINA FASO in their quest for the 2012 AFCON QUALIFICATIONS.The only solution TO this,is to get rid of HAYATOU period.R

101%Proudly South African

Amazing it seems as if there are no rules at CAF, if there is something happening you ask ntate what decision should be taken then ntate if loves you will forgive you there and there if you think you are better than him (South Africa)you are punnished for life. Why did a player like Dipsy has to serve a match suspension if the rules say the match you recieve a card counts as a suspension? and he only has yellow cards emagine a player getting a yellow + straight RED. From now i know which teams Hayatou supports. North Africa or Southren Africa must win the touney. Africa was craying when Suarez saved his team now the very same Ghana did the same against Botswana, what do we say now? 500% South African.

its worse we took every thing from whites saying we want to be libarated and now we can't unchain ourselves from the dictators of our football and now its black on black its worse, Hayatou must go and does caf have a democratic constitusion? If yes why Hayatou's terms not coming to an end? Why does his son have right to brodcast CAF'S matches? and if one country can pay their team half of the prize money for a win bonus for one match? how much does CAF generate during the tournament? i think AFRICA must stop this colonial mentality Scatch my back i'll scratch your is killing us.

After what Mensah did to my beloved ZEBRAS, am happy to say Suarez did a wonderful thing against Ghana at the world cup. Suarez is now forgiven by all BATSWANA.... Damn you Mensah

@Nna Yo..I'm sure Ghanaian have nothing against Suarez ...lol
You will overcome whatever you are feeling now. If you came from a country that is big on football i'm sure you will understand some of these things. Don't worry. You will be fine in the morning...lol
