A few days since arriving to join Bloemfontein Celtic, midfielder Papi Zothwane is very happy at his new club.
Zothwane has joined Celtic on a 6 months loan deal from Mamelodi Sundowns. The former Bafana Bafana midfielder has endured tough times at Chloorkop where he had virtually no game time and was later relegated to train with the reserve team.
Zothwane is now determined to put the past behind him and try hard for Phunya Sele Sele.
"I am happy to be back and playing football again," Zothwane tells KickOff.com.
"Now I am working hard at training and ready to give my best for Celtic," he says.
The midfielder says he has been humbled by the reception he has received from the people of Bloemfontein since arriving this week.
"Bloemfontein Celtic is not a hectic place and so far I have received good treatment from everybody since I arrived here. I can’t complain being homesick as I also spent a long time in Durban away from my home before coming back to Johannesburg.
"The people here love Celtic and have already made me feel at home," he adds.
Celtic coach Clinton Larsen is excited about the arrival of Zothwane.
"I know Papi personally...he is a great player with quality. At the moment we are working on his fitness and conditioning as he has not played for sometime but we have never doubted his quality as a great player," says Larsen.
