Maritzburg United have been forced to restructure their technical team, after Ian Palmer's two assistants Aschwin Sutton and Urban de Kock abandoned the club following his dismissal a fortnight ago.
Maritzburg have since appointed Ernst Middendorp, who returns for his second spell at the club, but he will be assisted by lone goalkeeper coach, Ronnie Kanalelo.
While awaiting the arrival of Middendorp, who is in the process of applying for his work permit, Kanelelo has been standing in as caretaker coach.
De Kock had initially been said to be on sick leave, but club chairman Farook Kadodia now confirms he has left the club.
"Both our assistant coaches left the club when our previous head coach left the club. We are now in the process of bringing in new personnel to assist Middendorp and those positions should be filled within the next seven days," Kadodia says.
Former Orlando Pirates defender Kamaal Sait's name has already been mentioned as one of the possible candidates to take over the assistant job.
