Gyan hopes lessons well learnt

Posted: 2012-01-25 10:12

Asamoah Gyan hopes the difficult nature of Ghana's opening game against Botswana has reminded every Ghanaian there will be no easy games at the tournament.

Gyan had warned in the build up to the match there will be no easy games but that did not stop predictions of a big victory for the Black Stars in Ghana.

"We the players knew it won't be easy so for us it was no surprise the way it went," Gyan said. "We picked up three points which is the most important outcome. Now we have to continue working hard because this is a competition we really want to win."

Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu meanwhile feels the side will improve in subsequent games.

"It was a very difficult game but we have always had difficult games on the opening day. Now with that out of the way we certainly will get better."

Ghana's next game is against Mali on Saturday.

But Botswana was suppose to win this game, the coach blundered because after the red card he was suppose to employ attacking mode,I just wondered if he didn't have a player capable to damage the Ghananian defence.but with that display the Zebras can go far.

and who says botswana outplayed ghana?if u guys can play football why did u not win the match.and did u watch the 1st half?anti-football at its best - 10 men defending against the marauding black stars and u think u played football?all south african teams are losers except zambia, mediocre at its best

Vico_Mahoota: 2012-01-25 16:42

@ King Baah: What did ghananians say after beating banana banana 3by3? they only said "yah, it was an eazi game" Rona batswana we are happy of our team, even thou we lost mood here in gabz is unbeliavable. Not you guyz who only win on paper and create some new dances.we are learning boss and even if we loose on saturday we will still dance, its time for us to rejoice boss.reta ja dipanana ka june.

@ Kingbah: You must be very stupid. Let me give you a free lesson. In football there is WIN, LOSE and DRAW. Botswana can play fooball, losing does not mean otherwise! Does it? Almost every team in this 2012 AFCON FINALS will tatse defeat. There will only be one CAF Nations cup winner. Got that idiot? Nigeria, RSA, Egypt can play football, but where are they now? Brazil, England, Germany etc can play football, but they did not win the 2010 World Cup! Does this knock some common sense in your ROYAL HEAD? POOR KING!!!

BLAKSTAR: 2012-01-26 14:46

To score against Ghana is very dificult......thats why the boys couldnt win, ghana has the best midfield and defence which was too much for MINOR botswana
