QPR want Sundowns striker Katlego Mphela

QPR want Mphela

Posted: 2012-01-25 09:32

KickOff.com can confirm that Katlego ‘Killer’ Mphela is a target for English Premier League side Queens Park Rangers.

This was confirmed this morning by Mphela’s business manager Glyn Binkin, who couldn’t provide details of QPR’s interest.

“There has been an enquiry made, but I can’t comment further than that,” Binkin says.

‘Killer’ is currently the PSL’s top marksman with nine goals this season and the third highest Bafana Bafana scorer of all time with 22 goals in 44 international matches.

Gerrard wa le khosi: 2012-01-25 09:39

Orlando Midget FC fans will comment with their tales behind the legs, I mean Chiefs and Ajax are most exporting teams in SADC and now Sundowns is likely to follow suit! What about R9k FC players, are they bad enought to chase away the attention of scouts???mxm.....FOOTBALL 101 WAS MUSTUR*BATED AT UNIVERSITY OF ORLANDO.@COWJERRY,TSCEK!

robby : 2012-01-25 09:42

ol da best killer if this is true.we will always luv and adore u.with laffor the i think he can scoop that award as he usually score more than one goal.his ratio of scoring could make us sundowns fans happy and proud.all da best killer.izinja zijabulile as we are deep heartedly happy.

FISTOS: 2012-01-25 09:42

thats gud new for SA in a long time,
gud luck and that will be gud bye to nyaope and ZAR,
and he can learn that a striker sometimes scores a hatrick for his country,

Donald Duck: 2012-01-25 09:42

That would be gr8 news 4 Killer and SA..

mtsepana: 2012-01-25 09:55

Pirates can match what QPR has to offer, so why leave S.A come to the calaxy of stars!

KaMashobana: 2012-01-25 09:56

All the Best Killer ! How I wish Downs had kept Khanyenza.

Liesbeeck: 2012-01-25 10:02

@Gerrard wa le khosi.

Pirates primary objective isnt exporting players but to enhance its brand and to successfully represent SA in the continent. For that they need their best players. An offer(not a UK 2nd division team trial) was put last year for Tlou.

Ajax is just promoting its players to its mother team. Ajax Amsterdam owns 51% of Ajax Cape Town stake.

Hey Guys I'm tired of this Media Chorus of "Shabba Killer" going overseas.. When will this Cows go?? This guys are now predictable.............CROSSBONES

TP : 2012-01-25 10:04

Talk is cheap. This player managers/agents are always in a rush on talking than delivering.

Rather tell us the negotiation on Mphela from QPR has started. To inquire is not something you can raise your hopes with.

On behalf of Kickoff:I also want to make a comment abt Crystal Palace(Kagisho Dikgacoe team)losing their game on penalties against Cardiff.

We are also waiting to see if Douglas Friedmann will keep his word of sending an offer to Siphiwe Tshabalala.

For me this could have been opening news this morning rather than running the story late during the day.

Summerrain!: 2012-01-25 10:05

Oh!

Liesbeeck: 2012-01-25 10:06

@Gerrard wa le khosi.

What is most important for Pirates fans is to see their team doing well locally and in international club football(champions league). Seeing their players going overseas is secondary. Dont make it as if its our primary wish to see our players going overseas. We do want to see our players reaching their goals, but our team comes first.

Gucci Man: 2012-01-25 10:09

Good luck to my favorite striker ......All the best mfana wami

This is the striker..........The Executor,The Punisher and Ther Killer

fosh juju x : 2012-01-25 10:16

Activist: 2012-01-25 10:20

This is fantastic news. I hope it materialises. Mphela must be one of the most under-rated strikers on the international stage.

Teko: 2012-01-25 10:26

Morning,I get irretated by this Rats fans you know,Pierats will always be there like any other team, but you as an individual 6 medals wont put food on your table in the next 10 years,so you need to earn high salary to subsidise yourself and kid in the next 10 years.

thats why other players play like no buddies bus to get paid well and others robb hobbos ko woodmead.

Yes i admit Rats play football but We at Downs soccer and money finish and klaar .Football 101 matur*bated at FET College of Orlando

Marlon: 2012-01-25 10:29

Sundowns reply "$100 Billion dollars"

Bingho : 2012-01-25 10:32

These news will evaporate into thick air. Killer is going nowhere!

Sweyts  : 2012-01-25 10:32

Please let this guy go Trott, Downs are not in this game to make profit, just let him leave tu!
If Mphela leaves now.....I can safely say, it's in the bag! Sheikhman will take us there!

Yellow we remain!

brazilitto : 2012-01-25 10:34

Glen Binkin is working hand to hand with pitso. Am gonna say dis for de last time. We won't sell killer cos we value him a lot. He just need to work hard to get an improve deal with downs.

galaxyofstars: 2012-01-25 10:35

Yes thats what we deserve in Europe players dont go for trials only for medicals. All the best.

Champ Toad: 2012-01-25 10:37

@Teko, what exactly are you on about? You keep banging your dumb head against the wall in anger for no apparent reason. Pirates supporters are wishing Mphela well on this development and yet you are busy ranting.

Once again I and the Orlando Pirate FC family wish Mphela success on this probable move. I don’t trust KickOff in matters relating to Player Transfers but for the sake of Mphela and South African football I hope they are correct. I know you will make it there.

Orlando Pirates FC aka Happy People are the defending champions of ALL PSL Trophies, ALL of them.

Once a Happy Person Always a Happy Ghost

kgapane: 2012-01-25 10:44

Best of luck Killer! I hope the deal materializes as it'd b gud 4 Killer & SA football in general esp with other former EPL internationals heading to the PSL. These almost simultaneous moves will elevate the status of the Psl to a level where it is seen as a talent hub...the relevance of the Psl will b enhanced big tym...

Bucs I remain...

Nomfundo: 2012-01-25 11:26

There we go again, Now that Mphela knows that Pelembe is getting more than what he is paid now he wants to leave. Was it not last year when he decided to go awol after he was denied a move overseas by his employers Sunflops!!! This is just a stunt to try and milk Motsepe to increase his salary....only six days left before the transfer window closes why would QPR be interested on him only now.....Kwakwakwakwa!!!!

Mini: 2012-01-25 11:53

**** Sundowns and their arrogance they must give this lad a break now. Do they really want him to rot at ChloorKop? I wish this was true. Sundowns have got a lot of money and they must release him to go and have a taste of the EPL.

Top Dawana : 2012-01-25 12:00

I bet our president to release him please makhanya don't reject the offer let him go

tshepo : 2012-01-25 12:22

Bucs fo life: 2012-01-25 12:25

chuck: 2012-01-25 12:50

lol CHIEFS FANS it is quite stupid to celebrate being 'the number 1 exporter' when it leaves your team with a useless squad.Only the management gains from this as they do not invest in the team.I would rather keep good players in this league than send to them to the bench of another league, leaving us with a depleted squad that wont get reinforced...lol some people are really stupid though

brazilitto : 2012-01-25 12:51

Killer will die yellow, if it wasn't for pitso and his partner glen binkin killer wouldn't went on strike last year

LESEGO: 2012-01-25 12:54

So this boy is on a 50% scoring rate for the country? Not bad, good luck with his move to QPR is it's true, there's no doubt he knows his way around the 18 area!!!!!!!

brazilitto : 2012-01-25 13:15

Phela can go to england for a holiday, not to play. Cumon people, Europe is on a verge of a tumble. If I can share the little information with you my bloggers. U c asia is the next economic powerhouse( unfortunately for them football is moving at a very slow pace). As asia grows, Africa will be inspired and take over. Bcos of the greediness of those in charge it hard for some of us to realize that we have wealth in our land. Dis european football is boosted by outsiders. Right now russia is willing to take it football to the next level by acquiring the best players out there. In america the mls is doing the same.
I am happy dat de iron duke now he can see the Motsepe vision. That is to take our ligi to the top level

PSG55: 2012-01-25 13:20

This would be a great move from Mphela and a chance to test himself against the best players on a weekly basis. I assume Sundowns would demand quite a hefty transfer fee for his services? QPR have a lot of money but I wonder if Sundowns might just price themselves out of a deal?

ronnydanger: 2012-01-25 14:08

King Killer MPhela i wish you to going straight to QPR not this Trails things its not for us South African players all the best Killer,

collen: 2012-01-25 15:38
