Orlando Pirates coach Julio Leal and his assistant Teboho Moloi have been digging up as much information as they can about Angolan champions Grupo Recreativo do Libolo.
Bucs face the Angolans on February 15 in the CAF Champions League.
Pirates skipper Lucky Lekgwathi is confident that by the time they square up against the Angolans in Port Elizabeth, Leal would have perfected an effective strategy against their opponents.
"It is normal for coaches to dig up information about their opponents. This happens here in the Premier League, so why should it not happen at a higher level?
"Our coaches have been investigating and we already have a lot of information about how they play, their strengths and their weaknesses," says Lekgwathi.
"We will be prepared because we must win this match. We are playing at home and we should score as many goals as possible."
The Angolans - who are camping in Portugal - are expected to arrive in the country a week before their match against Pirates to acclimatise to South African conditions.
Grupo Recreativo do Libolo employ a 4-4-2 formation, which encourages attacks from both wings and the use of twin strikers.
One of their danger players is Joao 'Chinho' de Almeida, a vastly experienced former Angolan international midfielder who has also played for giants Petro Atletico and Sagrada Esperanca among others.
Other players that Lekgwathi and company should keep an eye on are 31-year-old Portuguese national Fernando Santos Silva, Brazilian Marcus da Silva, winger Ze Kalanga as well as 22-year-old Portuguese-born midfielder Stelvio Rosa da Cruz.
