Details of the accident that led to Ntuka's passing are sketchy, but it is alleged that the the Free State-born defender was stabbed to death after a brawl at a nightclub.
Michael Hughes of Stellar Africa confirms the sad news.
"I just spoke to his wife for a couple minutes and she confirmed that Ntuka has passed away after being stabbed in a township in Kroonstad."
Ntuka was once in the books of English Premier League side Chelsea, playing for their juniors, before moving to KVC Westerlo in Belgium.
He returned to South Africa to play for Kaizer Chiefs and later SuperSport United.
The former national Under-23 star – who also had five caps for Bafana Bafana – had an unsuccesful trial with Belgian side Oosterzonen Oosterwijk last year. KickOff.com wishes to extend sincere condolences to Ntuka's family and friends. He was a talented player.

Life's short people, one really has to live each day like it's your last by taking care and caution, may his soul rest in peace.
Another loss for south african football. We need to work harder than b4
This must indeed b a lesson to other people of Mzansi, public figures or not...
We hope u did prepare 4 dis day while still @ ur prime & made plans 4 ur wife & kids to live comfortably after you have passed on...
To the Ntuka family, friends and everybody who was close to him I know how it feels... Duduzekani? RIP 'Jeff'
from this incident especial those who likes to drink outdoor.
You ca'nt be involved in brawls anywhere being a nobody, let alone being a public figure since you have an image to protect and fans to respect.
Like that Mafikizolo Tebogo guy who was short for a road rage related incident, which in itself was unnecessary for me.....it was his day I'd like to think, and so Jesus or the bible was'nt gonna help either, we all are on our way it's about when and the sooner we accept that, the sooner people like Mbhoro stop defrauding the poor by instilling fear in them. nx.
Once again R.I.P Ntuka, your creator will be your judge ndlelanhle.
Whats in the past, its in the past, who am i to judge.
We all go to these places not knowing the uncertain, so lets avoid passing judgement.
The boy did very well for himself and its only him and his God.
@sweyts.. Well said indeed
This is a very unfortunate tragedy that can happen to any individual not only soccer players.
There is nothing wrong with going out in public but as we all know some place will have thugs ready to fight & pity Ntuka went to that kind of place.
I remember the 1st time I saw Jeffrey playing in South Africa at Safa/Sasol 8 Nation tournament for U23 in the Vaal. This boy could marshall the defence with a maturity & was by far infront of his peers.
Unfortunately even if we judge what he did,we can't bring back this loss of talent.
To his family,I know they tried as hard to raise him in the right way. When this time come, those who are left behind carry the pain of losing someone & wish they could have changed some things.Ntuka family Jeffrey lived his life & I just want to pass what my friend once told me,time will be the only thing that heals this pain.
RIP
