AmaZulu may suffer the blow of having to face Black Leopards in the Nedbank Cup in Limpopo on Sunday afternoon without their key player Siyabonga Mkhwanazi.
The marksman, who has netted six times in the league and has four strikes in the Nedbank Cup, is being troubled by a hip injury and will face a late fitness test on Friday.
Since coming to the fray before the first round, Mkhwanazi has formed an impressive combination with Dumisani Ngwenya, who has scored nine times in the league and is current leading scorer in the Nedbank Cup with seven goals.
A hopeful Usuthu manager, James Dhlamini, confirmed the developments and added they were keeping their fingers crossed Mkhwanazi pass the fitness test.
“He will undergo the late fitness test before we board the plane on Saturday morning. Besides him, we have a full strength squad going for war in Limpopo. The confidence is high and we are confident of a win,” said Dhlamini.
