Kaizer Chiefs striker Sthembiso Ngcobo is reportedly on his way to Rustenburg-based side Platinum Stars, in the hope of getting more game-time.

Ngcobo has become increasingly unsettled at Chiefs, where he has not seen much action under Vladimir Vermezovic, and KickOff.com has been reliably informed that a deal will be struck soon.

Both the club and Ngcobo's agent declined to confirm the talks, but Platinum Stars coach Owen da Gama tells KickOff.com that the club is currently in talks with "two or three" players.

"I cannot mention any names of players at the moment as this has the potential of ruining the talks," Da Gama says.

"There are two or three players that I have identified and we currently talking to them.

"The talks are being handled at a higher level by management so I cannot confirm further," adds the coach.

Ngcobo's agent – Xolani Nhleko of Prosport International – also declined to divulge details.

"I cannot comment. I have nothing to say except that he [Ngcobo] is still a Kaizer Chiefs player," said Nhleko.

Sources at Platinum Stars say Da Gama is eager to find a "respected" striker.

He feels that his forwards are failing to fill the void left by the departure to Turkey of Bafana Bafana striker Bradley Grobler last season.

I believe Chiefs is planning backward. How can you release a striker? We are not even scoring goals and they are letting the guy go. This will see VV giving way as well. VV should defend the move if he need to save his a***s.

Ngcobo is the best striker Chiefs has at the moment. He is just unlucky that VV can't use him to his best. Ngcobo is a good finisher. He lacks pace and dribbling skills which makes him look useless when expected to drift back to collect ***** from the midfield. With good service from the midfield he can bang in goals every game.

Just like Mbuyane is for Pirates, the recent Surprise Moriri is for Downs Ncgobo is for Chiefs all they need is game time and be used in the right positions and you will reap the rewards...

Bucs Faithfuls lets not be reminded of the 2 games (League and Telkom Final) where Ngcobo proved his worthiness and @ some poit in time I know Pirates were after his signature..

Ngcobo is one of those players you really need in a team. I am sure that under a different coach, say Kompela for instance, this player can deliver the best... he is undeservedly known to be a "cow" because he has not been given enough time to settle at Chiefs under VV. This is a problem for the Biggest team like Chiefs: Players are under pressure to satisfy the fans, their bosses and the reputation that this team holds. He would do wonders in a small team like Amazulu, or a medium team like Pierats or Sundowns, at Chiefs you need character, not just your skills. Meaning you need a big heart and quicker adaptability mechanisms like growing under harsh criticisms.

I hope Bob Mugabe, oops, I mean Bobsteak can quit his hideouts and talk to us Khosis about the happenings at this BIGGEST CLUB in Africa!

Chiefs will be mad to let go of Ngcobo & leave Majoro who is selfishly not a team player.

But anyway its a family business & this will not be the 1st & last time they shoot themselves in the foot with this dodgy decisions.

as I said if used correctly and Neeskens is not using Moriri in his rightful position so thats why we have not seen the Surprise of back then in a long time..

KING if I recall in one the last games I think against FSS Ngcobo won it for Chiefs and he was used in a proper position and against Amazulu the lad was unlucky..

as for Mbuyane I dont know how many times he was reffered to as a cow by Bucs faithfuls but since the Krol and Current Leal(though he tends to juggle him) knew his potential they disregard the criticism and feild him..
