Middendorp rejoins Maritzburg United

Ernst Middendorp has rejoined Maritzburg United, about 10 months after losing his job at the club.

The German coach was fired by United in March 2011 after a string of poor results and was replaced by Ian Palmer, who helped the club stave off the dreaded relegation axe.

Middendorp joined neighbours Golden Arrows the following month – April 2011 – but he was sacked in September 2011.

Now Palmer is out of a job after his dismissal by Maritzburg and Middendorp has taken over.

Club officials couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Da only thng he did ws to try force Shoes into retirement, stifle Scara Ngobese's game, kill Ditheko Motot's career @ Chiefs by playing hin in central midfield, prematurely end Cyril Nzama's career @ Chiefs, almost leading M Utd & Golden Arrows to relegation!...

One wonders where da vision is on da part of M Utd's management by hiring dis guy... Do dey expect deir playing squad which has not changed much since dey fired Middendorp 10 months ago to suddenly understand his tactics & respond to his methods? The very same playas failed to do so a mere 10 months ago!

Dis team will remain a small team, Ian Palmer is now enjoying severance pay while Mazinyo will b taking M Utd to the doldrums!...

Shall we conlcude and say United is digging its own grave. it's way too illogical that u be rehiring the same coach u sacked and cos of poor results. The Management at Maritzburg United is really scandalous.

Hhmm, this reminds me of 1 team that is related to Zimbabwe: They fired Ertugral, re-hired him and Fired him again. Their fans should actually worry about the possibilities of re-re-re-hiring him again after the "nothing to show for" of Vermezovic's era!!
