Erick Mathoho's chance of securing a move to Kaizer Chiefs is '50/50' at the moment, according to his agent.

Tim Sukazi admits there have been talks between Amakhosi and Bloemfontein Celtic over a proposed transfer to Naturena, but that nothing concrete has come out from it yet.
 
"Chiefs have contacted Celtic over the possibility of buying Erick, but nothing has been agreed as yet," he tells KickOff.com. "At the moment I would say the likelihood of a deal happening is 50/50."
 
Asked about a likely transfer fee, Sukazi says: "Look, he is still young and only in his second season in the PSL, but he is a very, very promising young player, so I would say nothing less than R3-million."
 
That would represent some excellent business for Celtic, who got the player for nothing from lower league side Dolphins two seasons ago. And, as Sukazi explains, the Free State club could end up with a lot more than that.

"We will definitely insist on a clause which would allow Erick to move overseas if the right offer comes along"

This will move will fumble due to monetary issues. We all know the team in question when it comes money. In the first place they will have to buy him out of contract and talking anything not less than 3m is what makes us to hear for the last time from Bobby. When we sign SA players ppl complain & the same still apply when we sign foreigners. Where mst Khosi get players from. Matoho is a quality player & since his desire is to play overseas he is joining the right team. If he ends up joining Amakhosi he'll be the 6th central defender in the team which is way acceptable if we want to strengthen our defence. We still need 1 more right back. This team needs creative midfilders such as Leintjies.players who can minus 2-3 players with one touch and feed the strikers! Good thing Mathoho is not Zimbabwean International.. So I don't see this deal materialising, Bobby puts his personal interest at heart and that is what I like about that lad.. He doesn't want to build a rock solid team but a penetrable Zimbabwean Force.. Today brings the shift of goal posts in Elias Pelembe saga.Tim Sukazi mentioned that he had negotiations with Chiefs on Pelembe.

I feel things will be clear on monday when Boa Morte comes into South Africa & whoever signs him(Chiefs or Pirates)then Pelembe will not be going there.

Chiefs is known of signing on free transfer & this is a space to watch.

Hlabarinto!Ur right when u say this teams get the same sponsorship amount from their mutual partners,but how that money get used happen behind closed doors.

This is just the same as when ur colleague on the same salary level driving fancy cars,nice clothes but on the other hand he sleeps on the floor at home.Bottom line is priorities are not the same.

I once posted that I feel this sponsors are to be faulted because this funds are never monitored how they get used.But if the same sponsor can sponsor ur event with a mere R 500 000.00,they starts talking accountability.

Back to this issue:Most Pirates fans feels Mothoho & Pelembe are better suited to their team?I really don't think Irvine Khoza will want to buy all this players.Assuming that's the case,that might be detrimental to the hard work the present team has achieved.Look at what happened to Sundowns over the years.Lot of talented players who some of them never got a chance to make their mark.Players like Mazibuko from Umtata Bucks.Only this season Sundowns is getting better as they are bringing few players in.

The same pattern of trying to sign all players is a case of Manchester City.Roberto Mancini almost signs a new team every season but still he's falling short on filling the team cabinet.

@TP my friend you dont follow local game, my team has pocketed more than that money now, and its only half season, teams that are run proffesionaly can, and if you think of the grants teams get sponsorships, yes exclude leopards, Maritzburg, the rest get good sponsorship, Jomo has millions if not billions, his team does not need MTN or vodacom, just like Downs.... there is a lot of money in the PSL, we must not down grade our players and claim teams cant afford, this team owners TP are taking a lot of money home, and teams that are the so called poor teams, spend 40% of the grant they get per month!
