Posted: 2012-01-12 12:15

Malawian international striker Russell Mwafulirwa is searching for a new club after failing to agree terms with Moroka Swallows.

Mwafulirwa returned back to South Africa recently after spending 3 seasons in Sweden with IFK Norrkoping.

The striker was earlier linked with move back to Jomo Cosmos before training with Swallows where he impressed coach Gordon Igesund.

The Dube Birds boss Leon Prins confirms that negotiations with Mwafulirwa over a contract was unsuccessful.

"We are not signing him. We failed to agree on terms," says Prins.

Meanwhile Mwafulirwa has resurfaced at Cosmos where hopes to conclude deal with club boss Jomo Sono.

Club spokesperson, Lucky Mhlathi confirms that Mwafulirwa started training with Ezenkosi today and is waiting for Sono to brief him on whether they will sign him or not.

Swallows is poor. They cannot afford him. Mr Jomo Sono's Jomo Cosmos is rich. He will be paid R75 000 he wants monthly.

The guy snubbed Jomo thinking he would get more money at Swallows. Now he comes back to Jomo.Absolutely no loyalty to u Bra J.If u sign him & he doesn't help ur team's course? That will be wastefulness. For me the guy doesn't deserve ur team.

I hope he ends up playing for Jomo Cosmos. Cosmos desperately needs a striker with experience and class. Mwafulifa has all that.

Swallows is underpaying its players. That is why he came back to Jomo Cosmos.

This cosmos fan cum spokesman is suffering from acute resentiment of anything not cosmos,a classical case of amnesia, since when has the greedy jomo paying better salaries to any of his employees in any of his bussiness concerns, let alone the yoyo cosmos? Cosmos pays only better than leopards.

Ah......Akunandzaba. Swallows does not have to waste money on an individual.....what if He does not score goals like Mpho Maleka.... I think players need to be put on probation as well coz some of them don't deliver. Don't follow me follow da Birds.....2nd round siyabuya
