Bidvest Wits striker Sifiso Vilakazi's proposed move to AmaZulu now hangs on the veteran forward agreeing personal terms after the Clever Boys finally accepted the offer from Usuthu.
AmaZulu have made known their interest in Vilakazi getting even more aggressive in recent days by meeting the demands of Wits who themselves bought the 32 year-old for R1,1 million from Ajax Cape Town two years ago.
Roger de Sa, the Wits coach who also does administrative work at the club confirms that they have accepted the offer from Usuthu on condition that Vilakazi is also happy to leave and his demands are met.
Should Vilakazi agree to join Usuthu then they will have to give him a deal of least two and a half years as that is what he wants instead of anything shorter.
"The player (Vilakazi) is speaking to AmaZulu today but on our club to club side we have accepted an offer of a certain amount on condition that his demands are met and he is happy to go.
"What we have told AmaZulu is the same thing that we told Bloemfontein Celtic who want Bhongolwethu Jayiya that it is the player that makes the final say. If the player also wants to leave Wits and join another club then we will not stand in his way.
"As Wits we didn't put up any player for sale but when there is interest the player makes the final call just like what happened with Tefu Mashamaite and Darren Keet last season.
"Tefu had a great contract at Chiefs while Keet's desire was to play overseas so we let them go though we could have gotten more selling Keet to a local club. But then we wanted to make his dream of playing in Europe come true so we let him go," explains De Sa.
