Jayiya refuses to move to Celtic

It looks like Bhongolwethu Jayiya has refused to move to Bloemfontein Celtic – unless he decides to continue his studies in the Free State.

Bidvest Wits and Bloemfontein Celtic have agreed terms and conditions for Jayiya to move to Bloemfontein, but he is currently studying at Wits University and unwilling to leave.

"We did agree terms with them but it was on one condition – that if he [Jayiya] is willing to move to Celtic, but he told me this morning that he is not interested in moving there," De Sa told KickOff.com.

This despite Bloemfontein Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco saying earlier that the club were confident Jayiya would join them before the end of this week: "We have reached an agreement with Wits, what is left now is the paperwork."

Konco also said that negotiations between them and Mamelodi Sundowns for the services of Papi Zothwane are in the advanced stages and expected to be finalised by next week.

I do not understand this move. This is a sideways career move, and makes know sense. If you moving from Wits to any of the Big 3 or even to Europe, that makes sense, but not this. This might boost your pocket but not your profile to get into Bafana.
