Nigeria refs suffer Nations Cup blackout

Nigerian referees not used in 2012 Africa Cup of Nations

Nigerian referees, like their football team, will have to sit out the 2012 African Cup of Nations, after CAF picked none of the country's centre referees and only one to be an assistant referee.  

A total of 18 referees and 21 assistant referees were selected by CAf from across the continent, with Algeria the only country to have more than one referee, after two of their officials were picked.   Nigeria's only representation is in the assistant referees category, where Edibe Peter is the sole selection.   Referees:   1. Jedidi Slim - Tunisia 14. Haimoudi Djamel - Algeria 15. Otogo-Castane Eric Arnaud - Gabon 16. Sikazwe Janny -Zambia 17. Nampiandraza Hamada el Moussa - Madagascar 18. Nevermind, we Nigerians know why!

As for CAN, there has been so much of a hulabaloo from CIV and GH., I just wish Senegal,Guinea or Morocco will upset them for the trophy.

We have referees from Seychelles, Madagascar,Mauritania etc and yet these countries are not doing well. as along as you are white, you deserve to be a referee. interesting!

Nigerians might be highly corrupt but she is not the only country without a ref in the tournament.

I'm not surprised there are no Ghanaian refs involved. I'd rather have been surprised to see any mentioned. They are bias and corrupt just like their Nigeriian brothers.
