Whilst most PSL clubs have been enjoying the Christmas break, Orlando Pirates' management has been busy, talking to several players ahead of the January transfer window that opens this week.
The Mighty Buccaneers have made their first signing of the new year, bringing back midfielder William Twala from FC AK, as they look to boost their squad for the second half of the 2011/12 season.
Twala, who is also a product of Bucs' development academy, returns from a loan spell in the First Division to join the rest of the Pirates team when they resume training on January 9.
The 21-year-old's agent, Karabo Mathang, confirms to KickOff.com that Twala will be wearing the black and white this year.
"Yes, it's true that Twala will be playing for Pirates in the new year," she says. "After all he is their player, as he was only on loan at FC AK."
Meanwhile, Pirates are set to offload another group of players to make room for new signings.
Set to be shown the door are Patrick Malokase, Lizo Mjembu and Siphelele Mthembu, while Najabulo Ntusi, Mark Mayambela and Chiukepo Msowoya are likely to go out on loan.
