Bucs may be charged over fans

Orlando Pirates could be charged with unruly spectator behaviour after their fans invaded the pitch at the Moses Mabhida Stadium during the Telkom Knockout Cup final last Saturday. 

Pirates fans invaded the pitch soon after referee Daniel Bennett blew the final whistle to hand the Mighty Buccaneers their first Telkom Cup trophy.
 
This is not the first incident in which Bucs supporters invaded pitch. They also did it when the Soweto giants won the Absa Premiership title in May this year.
 
PSL manager Derek Blanckensee confirmed receipt of the match commissioner’s report of the incident in Durban last weekend.
 
"We have received the report regarding the match in Durban last Saturday and it has since been forwarded to the league's prosecutor," he says.
 
Blanckensee, however, could not shed any light on the incident involving Wits' Eric Tinkler and striker Benni McCarthy.
 
Both Tinkler and McCarthy were involved in a scuffle at half-time.
 
McCarthy told KickOff.com in Johannesburg that he has not forgiven Tinkler after the provocation.
 
"I haven't spoken to him since the incident and I don't intend doing so. They are non-existent in my life and I am pretty sure I don't exist in theirs too. But I certainly won't forget about the incident."

Lol.... This is funny... Who chose the stadium we played at, go and fine your stupid commitee that didnt make sure that the pitch has enough security for pitch invasions.....

I am sure the KING of South Africa soccer Dr Khoza will make sure that we receive a suspended sentence.....

Gone are the days were trophies are won dubiously.... Gone are the days when SABC was the official brocaster for the PSL... Since Supersport took over as the official brodcaster only 1 trophy out of 6 has gone to any other team.... But 5 out of 6 went to the biggest most respected team in history of South African football...

Football 101 was mastered at the University of Orlando.

i wen to the stadium around six, and i found myself a seat on top of players entrance but i was forced to watch the game sitting on the floor because i was running for my dear life. The security guys were just watching us being harassed by group of drunk idiots, beating people with their vuvuzelas. i went to ask one security guy to intervene so we can seat down. the security guy didnt do anything, he continued to watch the game.

On this one im saying Please charge the security guys, they were doing nothing but watching the game, after we scored were busy celebrating with us. The guy on white suite, i think he was head of the security on that day he was sitting down watching the game also. PSL must also ask report about the stupid security guys. i nearly lost my eye because of vuvuzela beatings on hands of drunkards who didnt want to seat down.

I think the league is loosing its plot here:
There were no visible security personnel at the stadium mostly in between the seats, ones that were on the pitch were either not trained or drunk themselves as I cannot understand why a fit security guard can't chase and grab a drunken fan. This is a joke and will embarrass the league

I guess this is one of those unnoticeable mistakes that fans should take a leaf from.I plead guilty on behalf of all the Baccuneers who were overwhelmed by that hestoric moment at Moses Mabhida.I guess the Iron Duke is ready the forfeit a cent from millions we have collected.As for Tinkler,I'm still flabergusted by what came from his mouth.That was unbecoming of a leader.A simple "I'm sorry" will do Mr Tinkler.Ruining a reputations comes cheaper than building it.
