Benni McCarthy spoke to KickOff.com exclusively after the Telkom Knockout Final, and says this Orlando Pirates team is like Porto under Jose Mourinho.

"The level and the standard's been awesome," McCarthy says. "At the moment how I feel in this team is exactly how I felt at Porto, you know, this team's got a nice blend of the team we had at Porto under Mourinho."

The striker also insists Oupa Manyisa and Andile Jali are top class players.

"Oupa Manyisa, for me, that is Xavi, Iniesta of South African football; Andile Jali, wow, what a player, so for me those two players should definitely be playing in the national team."

I can see now he started to be the Julius Malema of South African football. It's very bad for the game, I believe he is suppose to bring more integrity to our league but he is just bringing Shame. It is no doubt his abilities as a player are world class but his behavior is just embarrassment to millions. Hold your horses Mr McFATTY, but the Xavis and Ineastas are world class, I mean they get nominated by various international experts for prestigous FIFA and continental awards, they win domestic, continental & world cup tournaments (3-5 leagues championship, more than 2 continental gold medals plus world cup team gold medal plus world cup national gold medal plus etc.) Jomo Sono is my witness. The Manyisas and the JALIs of RSA are not seasonal performers, they are not world class yet, lets wait and see, cause glimpses of up & down performances cannot really give us a true reflection of a classic player but only continous consitiency will. So for me the FAT ONE is just drunk, the two players he is referring to are just plain overrated avarage players with potential.

Me thinks a slightly better bad player performing on an avarage par against avarage opponents is no ticket to La Liga benchmarking- it is simply an insult. An this is not because a certain slightly better bad player play for a certain team that I do not or will never support, but this goes as well to any player giving his trade in this league of ours i.e. I would not compare Yeye to Xavi, its an insult to the latter. I can only compare him to Jali or Manyisa, of which the former (Yeye) is slightly a better good player compared to the latter players (jali/manyisa_)!

Xavi & Iniesta are on their on level, just as Ace is on his own unassailable level..

People must even dare to compare Yeye with Ace. Ace doesn't give away goals to opponents, Ace doesn't make mistakes, Yeye will never have 50 000 supporters cheeringly shouting Aaaaaaaaaaacccccccceeee.... during a game so let's not go there..

Jomo says it is an insult to compare him Manyisa. We compare Manyisa with Xavi & Iniesta. Is it not an insult? They still have a long way to go before we compare them to anybody. This unnecessary pressure to young men. That is my opinion.
