Daine Klate speaks about Orlando Pirates' next ambition, Benni McCarthy's temper and about the "amazing" Durban supporters.

The winger scored the second goal in the Telkom Knockout Final, and speaking after the match had this to say: "It was a special day for us because Orlando Pirates had never won this trophy up until now. So things are looking good.

"Even before this Final our League form had started picking up, so now we are obviously going to go for the League and the Nedbank Cup too.

"I want to say that playing in Durban has been amazing. The turnout of fans here tonight is better than what we get back in Joburg so we were very excited to get out on the field.

"We have also been lucky in Durban, we have always done well here."

Klate's teammate McCarthy was involved in half-time scuffle with Bidvest Wits assistant coach Eric Tinkler, but Klate says he still brings a different dimension to Pirates.

"Benni is a great person off the field to all of us and brings so much value on the field. Yeah, we told him to just relax at half-time because the Wits guys were chirping him and trying to unsettle him.

"Benni will be vital for us in the League and in Africa. Actually, when Benni plays we have never lost yet, so that shows you."

@Simangaliso:.Dont be so dull wena.We havn't lost any match with Benni playing.When we played Maritzburg,Benni scored & when we were 1-0 up,the ref mistakenly gave Benni a red card & we played most part of the game unfairly disadvantaged,WITHOUT Benni hence we lost 2-1.Its very hard to explain something to a dull crech child like Simangaliso.

@Simangaliso:.In our lig match aganst S Sport Utd we praised Leal that at least he listened to our demand not to play Ngobeni as we beleived he was the weakemst link.He also listened not to play defensive,instead to attack with 2 forwards which he did & we won the game convisingly.So again aganst Vets,he continued with the right decision & we won the cup & we are happy as we comment celebrating with other champs.I dont understand what type of comments you expect from us.We dont just criticise for the sake of criticising.Shame on you,you should be anticipating life without Boby's farmily bussiness instead of disturbing us celebrating.

Eish, my tail is between my legs, like a wet stray dog. Now i must swallow my pride and concede that Pirates FC are the hottest club in SA at the moment. Truth be told, we used to be hot, but since Bobby started his Zim businesses we have been loosing value like a ZimDollar. I wish Kaizer Snr can intervene cause Chiefs is slowly but surely dying i.e. in my life time I have never experienced the fact that I see more Pirates jerseys than our own. This shows you that something is terribly wrong.
