Kumasi Asante Kotoko have gone to the top of the Glo Premier League with a 1-0 win over Ebusua Dwarfs that ended the Cape Coast side's unbeaten start to the season.
Dwarfs had held firm against Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea in previous games but came unstuck in Kumasi courtesy Daniel Nii Adjei's goal in the second half.
It helped Kotoko go above Chelsea at the top of the stadings two points clear ahead of the Berekum side who were top on Saturday, despite only drawing with Bechem United.
Kotoko's own unbeaten run was ended by New Edubiase in midweek and were keen to make amends. But they found Dwarfs stubborn customers until Nii Adjei's intervention on the hour mark.
Hearts of Oak can now draw level with Kotoko if they beat Liberty Professionals in the late kick off on Sunday.
In the Saturday game, Eric Agyemang saved defending champions Chelsea a point after they conceeded the opening goal against Bechem through Peter Essien.
