They went a goal down, but Moroka Swallows hammered Black Leopards 4-1 in an Absa Premiership tie at Dobsonville Stadium.
David Mathebula scored twice and made a goal for Ashraf Hendricks while Siyabonga Nomvete netted from the penalty spot.
Swallows goalkeeper Greg Etafia was also at his best and saved a last minute Kingston Nkhatha penalty.
Leopards opened the scoring in the 10th minute when Thabo Mongalo headed in a Mongezi Bobe corner kick.
But nine minutes later Gordon Igesund’s team levelled when Mathebula fired home following a cross by Lerato Chabangu.
In the 35th minute Nomvete sent a header just over the bar before Greg Etafia saved two attempts within two minutes from Khetho Masuku and Joshua Obaje respectively.
Then substitute Mpho Maleka was brought down inside the danger area by Leopards goalkeeper Thabang Maluleka and Swallows were awarded a penalty.
Nomvete made certain in the 53rd minute to make it 2-1 to Swallows.
Then in the 71st minute Hendricks stretched Swallows’ lead when he nodded in Mathebula’s free kick.
Masuku threatened in the 80th minute for Leopards, but his shot was tipped around the post by Etafia.
Then Mathebula showed his class when he received a pass from Bongane Twala before slotting home his second goal of the night.
