Amajita coach Solly Luvhengo has named his final 20-man squad to participate in the Cosafa Under-20 Youth Championship.

The tournament is scheduled to take place in Botswana from December 1-10.

The final selection follows an intense eight week-long camp that consisted of trials and training camps.

Luvhengo says he is happy with the outcome of the camp and feels they have come a long way since they got together.

The Amajita squad has played several practice matches as well as international friendly matches against Lesotho and Botswana in preparation for the tournament.

Both Lesotho and Botswana will also be participating in the Cosafa championship.

Amajita are in Group C along two-time reigning champions Zambia, and Tanzania and Mauritius.

"We are in a very strong group, so this competition needs to be taken seriously," Luvhengo says. "There's no time to relax going forward, and I believe we can excel beyond the group stages of the tournament.

"The loss against Lesotho over the weekend is not a setback for the boys as we won two of the three matches we played against them. We learnt some lessons and now we know what to do at the training field to rectify the mistakes."

The Under-20s depart for Botswana tomorrow (Wednesday).

Amajita kick off their Cosafa campaign against Mauritius on Friday at the University Stadium in Gaborone, which will be followed by a clash against Tanzania on Thursday, December 4, at the Molepolole Stadium.

They will complete their group stages campaign when they face Zambia on Saturday, December 6, at the same match venue.

Luvhengo has also wished the Under-23s luck, as they are in Morocco for the CAF Under-23 Championship.

"We want to wish Shakes Mashaba and the boys well during the CAF Under-23 tournament taking place in Morocco, we would like to say are fully standing behind them during their Olympic qualifying campaign. We have faith and trust that they will come back victorious," Luvhengo says.

I only see 3 strikers here, which I think is not a good idea.If one gets injury then what happens.Clearly formation will be 4-5-1?
