Konadu looks for massive Wassaman win

Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu is looking ahead to a great game this weekend as his side welcomes  debutants Wassaman United to the Baba Yara Sport Stadium for their eighth week Glo Premier League fixture.

A win for Kotoko, who have pitched camp at a location near Kumasi to prepare for Sunday's game and a host of other matches, will consolidate their top position on the league table.

And the team's coach believes that a convincing show at home on Sunday would lift his players' morale and confidence in the young season.

"We have our eyes on victory; the type that will enhance the confidence of the players and get them ready to face upcoming challenges" he said.

With the notion that any side that plays Asante Kotoko performs beyond expectation, Coach Maxwell Konadu says he is fully aware of his opponents intention.

"They would want to give us problems. The game will not be smooth sailing. We expect them to be hard but we are sure of a good win".

Wassaman United have not had a good run in the season winning and drawing a game each with five defeats and a big inferior goal deficit.

Wassaman will therefore find the going tough in Kumasi if Asante Kotoko's sharp shooters Ahmed Toure and Nathaniel Asamoah find their scoring boots. The two strikers in total banged in seven goals in four successive matches but are yet to score in the last three games.
