Lechesa's departure explained

Richard Makhoba, team manager of struggling First Division United FC has taken over as head coach at the club after the sudden departure of Duncan Lechesa.
Lechesa lasted just 10 days at the club before being recalled to take over at Carara Kicks.
United, battling in the drop zone, are now under their fourth coach after just 12 games. They started the season under co-coaches Petrus Rantili and Tebogo Tsiu but the two were fired after just three games and replaced with Ethiopian Anteneh Eshete.
After a few weeks Eshete was shown the door and replaced by Lechesa who has now also left, leaving Makhoba to take over.
"Lechesa left us out of the blue and we couldn't look anywhere else which is why I decided that I would rather take over as I understand the club well. Coaching is not necessary a new role for me because I have previously taken charge for a week here when Shakes Kungwane left.
"I hold a Level One certificate and have coached Botshabelo and Manguang City in the Vodacom League before. Plus, whenever the team trains I am always there because I am a hands-on person," says Makhoba.
Makhoba adds that Lechesa returned to Carara Kicks as per the agreement that he had with Free State Stars, Carara Kicks' sister club.
"He (Lechesa) was still on the payroll of Free State Stars and they had an agreement that should there be need for him to return, then he would leave. Unfortunately he was recalled early," says Makhoba.
United have now moved off the bottom of the standings.
