Wits back to winning ways

Wits scored two goals in the final 10 minutes to beat Ajax 2-0 at the Cape Town Stadium on Wednesday night.
Both goals were scored by Ryan Chapman.
Overall it was Wits who had the better of the first half, with the Urban Warriors showing little in the way of attack.
Sibusiso Vilakazi had chances in the eighth and 27th minute, but was off-target with both, while Sifiso Vilakazi was also just off the mark with a snap shot in the 38th minute.
Ajax’s efforts were limited to speculative long range shots, mainly purely executed, and a couple of scrambles in the box, none of which showed too much promise.
For the most part the likes of Sici Shelembe, George Maluleka and Brent Carelse were unable to give much support to Terror Fanteni up front.
There were chances in quick succession at both ends just after the restart, but Terror Fanteni had his 20-yard effort saved by Energy Murambadoro, while Sander Westerveld denied Sibusiso Vilakazi.
The game certainly livened up and became more of a free-flowing affair.
Ajax could have gone ahead on the hour mark, but Lebo Manyama headed over the bar from a corner.
It appeared as if Ajax were looking set to take something from the game, but they paid the price for some slack defending late on as Ryan Chapman struck with two goals in six minutes.
The first saw him squeezing in a shot from a tight angle in the 80th minute and then the former Santos man fired a cracking drive across Westerveld’s body from 14-yards out after being given far too much space in the box.
