Masibusane Zongo's living conditions have changed, he is back with SuperSport United and training with a no-nonsense coach while a trial in Europe beckons.
It is quite a mouthful, but this is the life of one of South Africa's most talented young footballers and the good news is that there is hope on the horizon for the struggling midfielder. "Zongo is training with SuperSport's Under 20 team and there is the possibility of a trial for him in Belgium very soon," says business manager Ashley Kotzin of Forwardzone agency. "He's also living with an ex-player who knows the family so we feel this will be good for Zongo right now." SuperSport's Under 20 coach is none other than former Matsatsantsa centre back Kaitano Tembo who was a no-nonsense player in his day and has done a very good job at the youth set-up. "Well Zongo has only been training for about a week now so it is hard to give an assessment. But so far so good," the former Zimbabwe international says. "He works with the physical trainer in the morning and then does technical work in the afternoon. We'll do our best to help." The ball has been knocked back into Zongo's court. The 21-year-old is under the guidance of experienced people at SuperSport United, a trip to Belgium is in the cards and he has an ex-professional keeping an eye on him at home. Backpage Txt
