Thanda Royal Zulu have welcomed defensive midfielder Bafo Biyela to the club for assessment.

Confirming this, the club's communication manager Thabani Gumede says: "Bafo started training with us on Tuesday. The technical team want to have options in the position he is playing. They want to get someone who will add some bite in that role."

Should he impress the technical team, Biyela will reunite with head coach Neil Tovey, who he worked with at AmaZulu and later Mpumalanga Black Aces.
