Akunnor dismisses AshGold rumours

Former Black Stars skipper CK Akunnor has dismissed media reports that he is being considered for the role of assistant coach to Zdravko Logarusic at Ashanti Gold Sporting Club.
The assistant coach's position at the Obuasi-based club became vacant after Croatian Zdravko Logarusic indicated that he cannot work with former player Kamara Dini as his assistant at the club in the recently-kicked-off Glo Premier League.
Speaking with Joy FM, the former Eleven Wise coach said: "There is nothing of that sort. I do not know who is starting this rumour but I can confirm to you it is not true.
"I have applied for the national Under-17 job. It's the job I'm looking forward to.
"The season has already started and I don't want to go to a club where everything has started. I want to be part of the process," he added.
