Struggling First Division Witbank Spurs have brought in former Kaizer Chiefs defender Thabang Rooi.
Head coach Conti Kubeka has been shifted back to his previous position of technical advisor.
Following a terrible start to the season in which they have lost seven of eight games played, Spurs' management has found reason to make changes.
Rooi has been brought in to stabilise the defence on a deal running till the end of the season, while Kubeka has been replaced by Mohafe Phuti and Bonga Mofokeng, as co-coaches.
Club boss Themba Mafu believes they will be able to overcome the terrible spell they have experienced after losing several players to Premiership clubs.
"We brought Rooi to stabilise the defence because if you remember we lost four of our defenders from last season, Vusi Mthimkulu, Humphrey Khoza, Elvis Eva-Kedi and Sizwe Maseko, to Premiership clubs.
"We also lost Sici Shelembe in midfield to Ajax Cape Town. So losing so many players has really affected us but we have no intentions of bringing in any further players because we believe in what we have.
"Conti now reverts to his old position of being advisor on a part-time basis," Mafu says.
Spurs have three points from eight matches and the signing of Rooi brings much-needed experience, as he has played in the Premiership and First Division before.
Rooi spent the last half of last season on loan at Mpumalanga Black Aces from Chiefs.
