Troubled First Division club FC AK finally kicked off their 2011/12 season with a 1-1 draw against lowly Bay United at Eldorado Park.
Just a day or two after scrambling through a quick registration process in which 32 men, including 14 Under-23s, are now legible to play, the team grabbed their first point thanks to a Joshua Sauls goal.
In another mid-week clash, United FC and Sivutsa Stars also shared the spoils; the Kimberley match ending 2-2.
David Radebe and Justice Nzume were on target for the home team, while Mduduzi and Mlungisi Nkosi made certain Stars returned to Nelspruit with another point.
