Black Leopards and Santos drew 1-1 in a League match on Wednesday night.
The Leopards goal was scored by Rodney Ramogaoela in the first-half and Eleazar Rodgers got the equaliser late in the game.
Santos were pressing more early on and had some decent chances in the opening 15 minutes as Wayne Arendse headed wide from close range from an Erwin Isaacs cross, with Isaacs himself volleying wide soon after.
The visiting team came close to drawing first blood after nine minutes when defender Nkosiyabo Xakane got good contact on a header, but Santos keeper Tshepo Motsoeneng made an excellent block.
The Limpopo team were however to shock Santos by scoring first, when in the 34th minute, Rodney Ramogalela superbly turned a first time volley into the goal after Mongezi Bobe’s driven cross.
Santos had the first chance of the second half when Isaacs had a volley saved by Postnett Omony, while at the other end, Ramogalela just failed to get the final touch on a tempting delivery.
With 20 minutes to go Arendse ensured his side stayed in with a chance as he did well to get back and clear Thomas Madimba’s shot off the line.
Substitute Eleazar Rodgers had a couple of half chance as the game moved into the final 10 minutes, but he showed a lack of sharpness and the opportunities passed by.
Further headed chances were to follow for Salmaan King and then Vuyisile Wana, but both players showed poor execution on their headers when a goal looked about a certainty.
More frustration was to follow as Wana struck the bar with a 18-yard shot.
It appeared as if Lidoda Divha were going to hang on for the three points, but the Peoples’ Team finally got their breakthrough in the 89th minute when Rodgers turned home Shaun Sopio’s cross.
