Bucs allow Msowoya to leave early

Posted: 2011-09-28 12:36

Orlando Pirates have given striker Chiukepo Msowoya permission to join his Malawian team-mates in camp early as the Flames prepare for their decisive 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad.

Coach Kinnah Phiri with the help of the country’s football governing body FAM are pushing for early release of the team’s foreign based players to join camp training which started on Monday.

“We managed to negotiate with Orlando Pirates officials to release Msowoya early so that he can have a chance of regaining top form as we prepare for Chad and our proposal went through,” Kinnah told Nyasa Times this week.

Kinnah says he is working on the possibility of convincing others clubs with Malawian players to allow the players join camp early.

“I have been in touch with Peter Mponda at Santos and the owner of Black Leopards to release Davie Banda and Harry Nyirenda after Wednesday’s PSL games and we are keeping our fingers crossed,” he said.

The Flames mentor is optimistic that he will have the bulk of his foreign based players in by Sunday or better still between Thursday and Friday, all things being equal.

The 26 local player squad includes unattached midfielders Fischer Kondowe and Joseph Kamwendo.

Malawi only needs to win with any margin in their October 8 must-win in Chad to seal their back-to-back Nations Cup qualification.

Why is Leal not givin Msoyoya the same opotunity he gives 2 Mabena,Ndulula n Mayambela? Its not like they r scorin goals anyways n mayb he can solve the problem upfront. Its no longer funny 2 c Mabena misin clear cut chances man.

Champ Mriyo: i feel the same way Champ.

i think we must teach Leal a lesson, he thinks winning the MTN8 is enough for us.

playas hve been rotated at the galaxy...coaches hve given some playas a chance. y cnt they do it wth msowoya...if he can carry his country wat will prevent him from leading bucs attack

the playa hve no been given a chance lyk others....even in pre-season games. wat is he wrong at that mabena excel wth...leal must give this guy a chance...or else

Champ Mriyo n KING

champs i think leal already 4got his mandate 4 on his contract. he agreed 2 manage bucs wth us the fans..yet our cry for msowoya is going 2 deaf ears...leal does not know that we can fire him n hire a gud listener

Eish guys ja we never knew why is he not getting a chance.mara tehre is something i learn about our TEAM.they like to field PROUDLY SA.unless Chansa is there is the only foreign player they like to Field other Foreigners like Orotogu where not given enough chance.they give him1 he scores and then they bench him 6next game.so u can see that BUCS believe in SA players.

@ Mabhakaniya

I agree with all of you that Msowoya is another player that deserves to be given a chance like Leal did to Mayambela, Ndulula and Mabena.

Ndulula has been scoring regulary for U23 team, while Msowoya has done it for a "senior" African squad (Malawi).
It is time for coach to start with Msowoya instead of Mabena.

Champ I fully i agree with you especially after the last 2 games we have played ie sunflops and free state stars. Otorogu as well I think he was never given enough chance to prove himself. I know many will disagree with me but the zebras were scared of otorogu especially their defense....

Champ Mriyo: Agreed, I also wont understand why he is sidelined.

One minute he is still in his plans but not given the same chance as the ever failing Mabena. This guy is a clown.

Maybe its about time we do the Amazulu style to force a result, our players and our coach are too relaxed and they think we are a laboratory where they can conduct experiments forever without a repurcussion. Mc Carthy does not have someone who compliments him upfront, its sad seeing him creating opportunities only for the likes of Mabena to waste them, criminal when Msowoya is not even on the bench and coach is willing to even let him go early for national duty.

What the f... is that.

Bhaka4life aka Prinz (2 x Treble Champ): 2011-09-29 09:13

Ortorogu story is also a sad one, brilliant player who gave us options but never given a chance...Will never understand why they let him go. True Zebras were scared of that beast
