Helsingborg go into the weekend with a seven point lead over second-placed Elfsborg with four matches still to play. That means that should Mahlangu and his teammates win away at GAIS on Sunday, then depending on other results, they could secure the title. They will also need Elfsborg to lose at Mjällby and for third-placed AIK to get no more than a draw at current champions Malmo. Another South African, Cheyne Fowler, will also been keenly watching the weekend action despite his HJK Helsinki side not playing. HJK have amassed a 16-point lead at the top of the table with seven matches remaining. But should second-placed Inter Turku lose at VPS on Saturday, then HJK can win the title next Wednesday with a home win over Jaro.
