Under-23s and Banyana in AAG semis

South Africa's women's team and Under-23s are doing the country proud at the All-Africa Games in Mozambique.

The Under-23 squad face Senegal in the semi-final of the All-Africa Games men’s section on Tuesday, September 13 at the Maxaquene Stadium in Maputo. Kick-off is at 2.30pm.

In the other semi-final, Cameroon are up against Ghana on Wednesday, September 14.

The men’s finals will take place on Saturday, September at the National Stadium, at 7.30pm.

In the women’s section, Banyana Banyana will lock horns with Cameroon, also on Tuesday, at Machava Stadium at 10am.

Banyana held Ghana to a 2-2 draw in the last group stage match on Sunday, September 11, Andisiwe Mgcoyi scoring a brace.

This as their counterparts won qualification for South Africa to the 2012 Olympic Games by drawing 1-1 with Ethiopia.

"The fact that Banyana Banyana could hold their own in fielding two teams on the same day, here in Ethiopia and at the All-Africa Games in Mozambique, is a sign of the depth that has been created in women’s football in SA," coach Joseph Mkhonza says.

Ghana take on Algeria in the second semi-final on Wednesday at Machava Stadium at 10am.

The women’s finals are scheduled on the same day as the men’s finals, and will kick off at 4pm at the same venue (National Stadium).

That's not even an Adidas kit, I saw it the first time when Amaglug-glug played Mozambique in the opening match of the games. I asked the same question as to what in the world were they wearing.

Anyway, the ladies have a very tough assignment against Cameroon. It is not going to be easy.
