Shabba accepts VV's criticism

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala says he will respect coach Vladimir Vermezovic's opinion about his performance during the MTN8 Final against Orlando Pirates on Saturday. 

Pirates beat Chiefs 1-0 to keep the MTN 8 trophy for the second time in succession.
 
Amakhosi finished the game without ‘Shabba' after he was substituted in the 81st minute for Willard Katsande much to the disappointment to the club's fans.
 
'VV' says Tshabalala was not at his best, which is why he replaced him nine minutes from time.
 
“In my team there is no player who is not replaceable,” Vermezovic says.
 
“I expect Bafana Bafana players to take responsibility and Shabba was not at his usual level and hence he was substituted.”
 
Tshabalala says will not take Vermezovic's words personally.
 
“I respect the coach's opinion and will take it like a professional. I will continue to work hard and make sure that in my next chance I double my efforts.”
 
After the disappointment of losing to Pirates in the MTN8 Final, Tshabalala says his team will now focus on doing well in the League.
 
“I was very disappointed to lose in the Final as we wanted to win the trophy. However, that is part of football and congratulations to Pirates.
 
“This is not the end of the world and our focus now is on the next League game where we want to try and make sure that we maintain our unbeaten record,” he says.

The coach was right 2 take u out,infact Shabba and Parker were nt suppose 2 hv played on dat game bt then until Bobby decide 2 buy quality we will remain a zebra stew for clubs like Pirates and Sundowns even Wits 4 dat matter,until dat is sorted out,the rise we keep on talkin about will remain just dat A TALK and no action.

Shabba, like most Asikhulume FC players, is over-rated overpriced and over-celebrated. Look at Khune catching flies!!! That's how a professional player responds to such questions. But we lost the MTN 8 because of VV. At the time Shabba was substituted he was our best player on the field. He was taking Rats defenders on like nobody's business. It was his side that was threatening whereas on the right we were nowhere to be seen. Katsande seems to be a good player but the wrong man was substituted in Shabba.

Lets face it Shabba...ur coach doesnt know how 2 substitute properly,period.Secondly he hasnt played Nale in a long time and then suddenly he needs when he realises that he is losing.The worst part was that he took out Majoro who was trying his best up front and yet Parker and Dladla were not in the game.This coming Saturday a lose or a draw 4 Chiefs is on the cards.V V will never win the league even if he was given a 10 year contract

I was even more surprised with his stamina considering that this was his first game after a long term injury.

Yes, Dladla was not as effective as he was expected to be but Shabba was no better either.

I also feel that Pirates did not have a great game but then again quality came into the fore and won us the game. Next weekend we will do much better going forward than we did in this game and we will once again triumph.

I always feel bad when people always blame Masango when he makes mistakes while our stars are the ones costing us games. I remember a game we lost against free state stars last season, Mbuyane's equaliser (which was exactly the same as Ndulula's goal), a game against Wits, and we ended up losing the league by 1 point, people blamed the coach and Masango. Pre-season games that put us under pressure we also didn't deserve to lose looking at how we conceded in PE, and a penalty which I was not sure whether he was trying to beat Moneeb or fans, I don't know. It was not different on Saturday night when my boys fought very hard, only for the game to be thrown away just like that, people are still blaming the coach but as he always say, IT'S OK.

Shabba, even if you triple your effort you will never be a top player.You are a 10 mintue player at best.Youy do not have techical balance, check the way you run.From the start of the game till 34th minute, Yeye made 7 passes of which 1 was accurate.No surpirses there, but for goodness sake the guy had no match fitness why did he start.Our formation(narrow midfield) over expose our wing backs, because they are now defending against wing midfielders and strikers pulling wide.In his 3rd year and he still does not have a settled team, with identity and structure, I doubt if it will ever happen again.

The cup competitions we won over the last 2 years misled us.There was 1 cup game where Sundowns completely outplayed us, but failed to convert their chances and now those flukes are gone and the chickens are coming home to roost.The fact is that we just do not have the quality, I mean look at our average age and the coach still refuses to give youngsters a fair run(except masango, he's had ammple time).Scientifically, players over 30 years of age, can never give you consistent performance physically week in and week out.Check our amount of players 30 and over.Let me know.

Sgedede, come on Chief.Our league wins this year was not because we played well, but mainly due to the poor display by the opposition.Our wins over Pirates last season, not because we played well, but because they played poorly.Reality is that Pirates did not even play well on Saturday and still won.Remember their coach is new and still learning about his team, yet they won.Our coach is in his 3 year and still there is no style, pattern or structure synonmys with us.I feel sorry for those eternal optimists.

Indeed it feels good to be a Happy Person.

The difference between Pirates and other teams in the PSL at the moment is pure ambition. You do not sell your best players if you want to win something.

Zebras made a huge blunder by selling Musona, Valery and Masenamela (their best players last season) and replacing them with average and untested players in Majoro, Ritchie, Mashamaite and Parker. Nyawana's confidence at the moment is at an all time low. You do not fail trials at an English Championship team and also a team in Qatar and be ok afterwards.

Pirates had an opportunity to cash in on Jali and recently Tlou but because we want to conquer PSL and Africa the Iron Duke rejected those offers. Honestly, I do not see Zebras winning anything this season.

I fully agree with VV shappa has became a 45 minutes player and i have notice that even during the Bafana's games.In fact most of our favorite players such Dladla, Majoro,Parker, Nengomashe and Letshulunyane have become 45 minute players.

Maybe David Milner (Trainer) need to explain this to us, why our players are not performing for the whole 90 or 120 minutes. During the Final the Rats were attacking on Shabba's position before he was substituted and as a results had so many corners. Shabba was also giving away a ball very easily and Jambo was in trouble every time time Shabba gives away a ball cheaply.

South African supporters should stop this thing of being one player supporters because that is killing our game. Shabba is slowly becoming Thoko modise and he need to pull up his socks before its too late because I know that even @ chiefs there are stupid fans that boo players.

Shabba should not be discouraged, there was nothing wrong with him, he was trying to make things happen.What was wrong was the game plan,and the coach must take the blame for that. Poor Shabba and Dladla spent the whole defending and trying to create as well,in the end they were both dead tired and had to be replaced.VV has obviously run out of ideas as this match went exactly the same as the 1-1 leaque match last season. No matter how difficult it is but let us swallow our pride, we were beaten by a fit, tactically superior team on Saturday evening which knew what they wanted.

Few things I picked up from that game, Shabba, Khune and Josta were just going through emotions and it was correct for VV to replace Shabba (though it was too late). Secondly Nengomasha is ageing and its high time Lucky Baloyi is given task of replacing him permanently.

Parker is also not showing that he was exposed to high temperment matches in Holland and EUFA, he just froze such that Ngcobo was far better than him when he came on.

The least said about Khune, the better. For a number one country's goalkeeper to be beaten in that fashion is unacceptable. Didn't he watch Sundowns vs Pirates game? He should have known that Manyisa likes taking shot from long distances and should have prepared himself for the eventuality. Yes the defence made a mistake but that does not absolve him.

I agree that Shaba was not at his best, but the above statement tells me that VV does not have plan for beating Pirates. He does not understand the capabilities of his players but he has been there long enough to do that. I don't rate him as the best coach just for that. If your mind stops working as a coach when you play a big team then it's a problem cos that's where we rate your potential. Substituting Shaba for me was a big mistake that made all the Pirates fans around me happy. Shaba is one of the Chiefs player that Pirates proves themselves that they did some job when they marked him, but VV doesn't know that.

First and foremost I want to categorically state that I am a Kaizer Chiefs supporter and always will but I have a serious concern with the type of coaches that we employ these days, (Ertugral, Middendorp). I do not know the criteria that is used to source out these useless loudmouthed who clearly do not have knowledge of football. Ertugral destroyed Khanyeza and Middendorp destroyed Scara Ngobese may his soul rest in peace. Now here comes this idiot called Vermezovic destroying Nale. On Saturday this stupid coach demonstrated that he lacks football brains big time, I mean how do you justify sidelining a player (Ngcobo & Nale) for the better part of the season and then decide to throw him in the deep end in a cup final against an on form team like Pirates. He continuously being exposed of his short comings week in and week out. I have resigned myself into accepting that this season we are not going to win any silverware as long as this palooka is still at the helm. Another idiot who is messing things big time is this fat pig called Bobby. I have never seen such a clueless football manager in my life. If Kaizer senior is tired of running Chiefs he may as well sell it. We are surely headed for doldrums.
