Shabba accepts VV's criticism

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala says he will respect coach Vladimir Vermezovic's opinion

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala says he will respect coach Vladimir Vermezovic's opinion about his performance during the MTN8 Final against Orlando Pirates on Saturday.

Pirates beat Chiefs 1-0 to keep the MTN 8 trophy for the second time in succession.   Amakhosi finished the game without ‘Shabba' after he was substituted in the 81st minute for Willard Katsande much to the disappointment to the club's fans.   'VV' says Tshabalala was not at his best, which is why he replaced him nine minutes from time.   “In my team there is no player who is not replaceable,” Vermezovic says.   “I expect Bafana Bafana players to take responsibility and Shabba was not at his usual level and hence he was substituted.”   Tshabalala says will not take Vermezovic's words personally.   “I respect the coach's opinion and will take it like a professional. I will continue to work hard and make sure that in my next chance I double my efforts.”   After the disappointment of losing to Pirates in the MTN8 Final, Tshabalala says his team will now focus on doing well in the League.   “I was very disappointed to lose in the Final as we wanted to win the trophy. However, that is part of football and congratulations to Pirates.   “This is not the end of the world and our focus now is on the next League game where we want to try and make sure that we maintain our unbeaten record,” he says.  Do you think VV is right about Shabba? The coach was right 2 take u out, infact Shabba and Parker were nt suppose 2 hv played on dat game bt then until Bobby decide 2 buy quality we will remain a zebra stew for clubs like Pirates and Sundowns even Wits 4 dat matter, until dat is sorted out,the rise we keep on talkin about will remain just dat A TALK and no action.

Well said Shaba. VV is still the best coach. I dont get people wanting him to go. We dont want to be another Sundowns, firing coaches because they cannot win against the best team at the moment. We will keep on with VV... and Shaba will come back.

The show must go on... we behind the coach, the special one.

Kaizer Motaung senior must come back to his position. Bobby has never played soccer, look now he turned chiefs to an ordinary team he can't even see a best player. Chiefs is no longer dangerous only time will tell, it will also fight for relegation. Bobby must go!!!!

Shabba, like most Asikhulume FC players, is over-rated overpriced and over-celebrated. Look at Khune catching flies!!! You must accept that you will retire at cHIVs, suffer like Mooki and then continue with your fish and cHIPs business...if potatoes will still be grown when your are completely finished. I saw Bobby on the verge of tears when he realized that R8million was slipping through his drug infested sticky fingers. I am sure he had already counted kilograms of drugs he was going to buy!

That's how a professional player responds to such questions. But we lost the MTN 8 because of VV. At the time Shabba was substituted he was our best player on the field. He was taking Rats defenders on like nobody's business. It was his side that was threatening whereas on the right we were nowhere to be seen. Katsande seems to be a good player but the wrong man was substituted in Shabba.

Lets face it Shabba...ur coach doesnt know how 2 substitute properly, period.Secondly he hasnt played Nale in a long time and then suddenly he needs when he realises that he is losing. The worst part was that he took out Majoro who was trying his best up front and yet Parker and Dladla were not in the game. This coming Saturday a lose or a draw 4 Chiefs is on the cards.V V will never win the league even if he was given a 10 year contract

VV: You talking rubbish

You kept Yeye & Dladla and they were not up to scrach .
You should just take responsibility and stop pointing Shabba

Infact ....I don't want to talk about this game because you(coach) are the liability .
I mean how a one team beat you 3 times ?

sam: Its called taking a step in learning a foreign language. Nothing wrong with that, its funny that u dont have a problem with VV and Leal.

Can anyone explain to me on what basis is Shabba a good player and a special player as you pro-claim him.

What has Shabba achieved for himslef and for Chiefs. Can one Chiefs fans explain to us maybe we will understand, because to us there is no difference in Shabba and Yende, Nale, Masango just a bunch of average overrated players who do not even deserve to play for AMAKHOSI.

@Gucci Man, allow me to disagree with you my bra. Yeye was by far the best player in that middle-field. He just kept running, winning the ball, distributing and initiating those one-two’s with the likes of Dladla and Shabba. He made Chiefs play while Nengomasha was doing the cleaning up. I was even more surprised with his stamina considering that this was his first game after a long term injury.

Yes, Dladla was not as effective as he was expected to be but Shabba was no better either.

I also feel that Pirates did not have a great game but then again quality came into the fore and won us the game. Next weekend we will do much better going forward than we did in this game and we will once again triumph.
