Ndulula: I was robbed

Ndulula celebrates with Manyisa

Bongani Ndulula says his goal in the MTN8 Final was fair

Ndulula: I was robbed

Posted: 2011-09-11 18:38

Bongani Ndulula believes he was let down by the referee, after his goal was disallowed during the MTN8 Final against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday.

Ndulula thought he had written his name in Orlando Pirates' history when he headed the ball past Itumeleng Khune a few minutes before the end of the game, but Victor Hlungwane adjuged him to have pushed Amakhosi defender Dominic Isaacs in the process.

"We went 50/50 on the ball and fortunately I won the header to score the goal," Ndulula says. "I was surprised when the referee ruled it offside, claiming that I pushed the Kaizer Chiefs defender, because I did not do anything and just won aerial ball fairly.

"I was so sad because that would have been my first goal in a cup final, and also would have meant we avoided extra-time.

"But despite that I am happy that in the end we managed to win and keep the MTN8 trophy. Hopefully we can win still more trophies this season."

Pirates are set to host Santos in their next Premiership match on Wednesday, before meeting Kaizer Chiefs again on Saturday.

Oupa Manyisa, who got the winner against Bucs yesterday, says that victory is now history.

"The win against Chiefs in the MTN8 Final is now done and dusted," he says. "Tomorrow we start another new day and we are focusing on doing well against Santos on Wednesday."

Master: 2011-09-11 19:14

Ya I think its time now , something must be done, I’m and tired of this anti-Pirates refrees! First it was Tlou’s goal then it was Benni’s red card and now its Drogba’s goal!!! Enough now, they will cost big things if they continue with this high school errors!

Master: 2011-09-11 19:18

Now they are tasting their own medicine, if they ddnt rob us on that goal Khune will have been embarrassed by AaaaaaaaaaaaaCccccccccccEeeeeeeeeee!

Totalfootball : 2011-09-11 19:46

Yes you were robbed,we were robbed indeed but we prevailed at the end because God is on our side!you scored a beautiful header.you are the third player in our team to be robbed.first it was Segolela goal, then McCarthy red then you.so guys ready yourself for that throughout the season.

Summerrain!: 2011-09-11 21:05

Nee put that behind you Drogba, their plans never meterialzd. keep your head up & focus on the mid-week game. Let it slide bafana.

Bribe Khosi Bribe!!!

KING?: 2011-09-11 21:10

Drogba having a player of your caliber in our bench sustain hope that things will change and happen for our beautiful Bhakaniya family.

Yes u where robbed, but like u said, its in the past, lets focus on our next game. We expect more from you Ndulula and we are doing so patiently. U have a UEFA medalist in the team who is the best striker ever produced in Mzansi, just learn as mush as u can from Benni.

Mgugudi: The Treble Addict: 2011-09-11 21:25

Greetings to all the CHAMPS,

@ King,

I was in Soccer City yesterday & could therefore not engage the losers on the forum.
_______

What the game showed us was:

1. Chiefs did not come to play but to defend (a sign of fear). They relied on “Masaka” Khune to pump b@lls forward in order to utilize the speed of Majoro but what VV failed to ****yze is that Pirates use a diamond system. This system calls for a sweeper, there is always someone behind defenders that have moved forward to ensure cover hence teams hardly get off-side decisions against Pirates. When we attack we do the same so that there is always an option to pass the b@ll to.

2. By pumping those b@lls forward they wanted to bypass the middle where Jali & Manyisa are unparalelled hence “Nissan 1400” Nengomashe & Yeye with the help of “wanna be F & C” Shabalala & “Mascara” Josta seemed like they were playing well. What these Goliaths were doing was actually to wait for our militants Davids, they predictably crushed.

It also showed what many CHAMPS has been saying all along:

3. KC has no bench, when we told them they insulted us.

4. “I wanna be fish & chippy” Shabalala is overrated & losing his spark if there was any fast. As usual he got substituted against the Champs. For SA sake, let us not celebrate mediocrity.

5. Never rely on paraffin infused paper spirit to win games, what JD did in the past was good “form” but not concurring CLASS of Manyisa, Jali or all galaxies at Pirates, for examples. Tactics, tactics & more tactics win you games which VV sadly & n@kedly lacks.

6. What Manyisa did to Sandilands can also be done to the so called best GK in mzansi in a cup final no gal. It also showed what King & I argued more than a year ago (where we got insulted & banished from the site for) that Khune is overrated. Again, for SA sake, let us not celebrate mediocrity. He must work for that jersey it belongs to SA not Him or his followers that defend the obvious (in lunch bar terms) by fooling us that he could not see the ball. Goals are scored all over the world because keepers miscalculate or do not “see” the ball. If others can be excluded in the no1 jersey contention, the same should be done to Khune.

7. Majoro is not yet a world beater & lacks a big game temperament. KC fans must not overrate him yet to the detriment of his potential. He would have reached his potential had he signed for the CHAMPS.

8. There are MORE Pirates SUPPORTERS than Chiefs’, I thought they would paint the stadium Zebra.

A plea!!!

Refs of SA, excersice fair play Pirates also deserves it.

champ mgugudi we jj

its a relief 2 see u back, wile u were away smart OPFC fans came with many nicknames 4 ur hero ace manyisa

the names include amongst others: rocket scientis, heart breaker, bra oupa, shoot the zebra.

manyisa presented overated masaka wth a gud opotunity 2 chest trap one of his crackers....guess wat hapened...shhiiit hapened n in a blink of n eye the cup is in mayfair put beside the champs league trothy, the only trophy of its kind found in the southern hemisphere.

ndulula tat was a legitimate goal but u must not complain since we were playing the sisies of the PSL. kip doing ur gud work. u kept sis j on her toes. i think she has a crush on u, but dnt fall 4 her, she is a scrap car engine in a gud body.

champ mgugudi we jj, i like ur greeting, adresing us as champs, let me tell u wat i heard at the stadium wile seated next 2 zebra kids fans during the game:

since we adress the bucs as champs. i heard the sour losers adresing each other as 4 points n 4 million. bcos they won 4 points from us n 4 million from telkom.

ola champs, lets inflict more pain on the defenceless zebras. i wonder who they will bet on this time 2 beat us. the kings once ruled n now dethroned 4 gud...

we all want captain jack sparrow 2 guide our ship 2 the land of plenty...isnt it khosis

champ nespray is a movie star look-alike coach: 2011-09-11 22:14

ysterday moeneeb was on holiday, he will receive a bonus without sweating. zebras had no clear cut chances, even monster katsandes attempts were just 4 time waisting

in our next game we must play without a goal keeper 4 the sake of competition...the game was one sided. it proved tat a certain team made it 2 the final without a win, te aging rugby players couldnt cotain the young vibrant skillful bucs youth.

wat a nice way of welcoming our brazilian keeper in2 our team. already have a medal within 2 weeks he spent at the galaxy...n achievement in its own

KO 2day hve been carrying an amount of certfied pasengers its allowed 2 load. no overcrowd, not overload. mayisa hve got rid of the folowing farmers 4 gud: fistos, nipson, all psl stofies, tzotzo fly n other loud mouth on KO.

it is written, and I quote from KO
"Pirates are set to host Santos in their next Premiership match on Wednesday, before beating Kaizer Chiefs again on Saturday."
VV was so skeptical in his interview after the match #sik. From the murmuring of his lips, he said it all-I am afraid i might loose again next Weekend, and if i loose my head will be cut off.

--------
You must be out of your mind, if ever you had any to begin with. I know you won, fair and square, but let not the win cloud your judgement on other aspects other than football tactics in the pitch. You have bragging rights, but they are not to fool us with this gabage.

- the referee was on Pirates side
- Chiefs dominated the stands, FNB was too yellow
- We played better football, tactically: the best players lost the match through errors and lack of instinct to punish
- Piarats defence was super, honestly better than Chiefs'
- We were the best team going forwards, not depending on Khune's distribution
Our midfield was supierior, our joint attack of Majoro, Shaba, Dladla and Parker let us down
- Chiefs, compared to Piarats, is fairly a new team with a lot of new player to continue with last season's consistency, Pierats has 99% of all its last season's players (save for Sangweni, who has added that spark in defence)
- Chiefs is still the best attacking team, Pierats the best defending team (that is why they depend on long range goals and score the fewest goals by strikers
- So tactically, Chiefs is still better than Pierats; the latter will continue winning through lucky goals and chance of taking shots from range (i.e. Jele, Oupa, Legwathi)

@Dooba Monza: 2011-09-12

You are not making sense if you were good y are u criticizing Dladla & co. I wouldve understood if you were talking about Yeye.

Was the ligitimate goal from Ndulula taken from a distance? Don't think so, I suggest you mourn like other Zebras that are avoiding to log on to this site. Until you all have fully recovered thats when you 'll make sense.

Dooba OPC: 2011-09-12 10:20

I know a win is like redbull, it can give you wings... but one must maintain the hype continuously to keep the ecstatic moment going. For when the drug pulls out, it takes all the nerves of the body with it. In soccer, the pulling off of a drug, unfortunately, comes with losing your next game. My point: Pierats fans are ecstatic to have beaten us to the point that they think whatever we are saying does not make sense anymore, or will make "sense only after we recover from the loss", just to quoute one of them. Truth is that Pierats cannot score, and the Ndulula goal was no goal as the striker fouled our defender.

g_mtonga: 2011-09-12 10:57

You are out of your mind you idiot from the bundus. Since when are you the referee? You know very well that you pushed Isaacs from the back when you both went for that high ball. You will never score against Chiefs, the sooner you get that through your bundu skull the better.

My fellow champs
let us not entertain any zebra here what I see is sour grapes and one of them is trying to encorage himself here. We must enjoy this 8million. Oupa does not score fluke goals they are simply class.

these oprhans like complaining, they loose to MU, they complain of red card, ndulula fouled a defender and goal disallowed and they complain and now thay are making noise about beating chiefs only in 120 minutes and not 90 minutes for 1 goal.they struggle a lot when coming to score goals unless the defender comes to their rescue.

as for defenders they must say thank you to sangweni for the role he play.DOOM DOOM football from mr chairman and metlhomakhulu

@Mr AIDS,

You sound so frustrated!!! It was a goal, clear goal and I know that Sylvetar the chimp will justify the ref. I was in the stadium, close to the action, i saw the two players pushing each other before the cross was taken as players usually do. There was absolutely no foul!!! Thats why Isaacs did not protest. i also watched the game when I arrived at home again and watched the replay again and again, no foul!!!

jimmy jimmy jimmy: 2011-09-12 14:40

we tend to overlook or not pay enough attention to the things that referees do to our beautiful football. and to tell you something if you watch soccerzone today, you will find MR NDABA defending the referee stating an invalid reason for the error that was made.

Arafat: 2011-09-12 15:10

I'm a Chiefs supporter but I agree with Ndulula. He was the first to go up and Isaacs was slow to respond hence it seemed as if he was fouled. I however think the referee was atoning for the mistakes he kept on making against KC during the match.
