Anichebe out after groin injury against Madagascar

Anichebe out

Posted: 2011-09-04 19:09

Striker Victor Anichebe picked up a groin injury ion the final minutes of the 2-0 win over Madagascar and is unlikely to travel with the team to Bangladesh.

Anichebe was attended to by the team medics and could be out for two to three weeks.

Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia was none too pleased.

"It is very sad for him, He was huge for us today. he did all the rights things, pplayed well and unfortunately, had to come up in the last three minutes with an injury. But that's football.

"It's very unfortunate, but I hope he gets well soon so he can continue to feature for his club. That pitch was not very good and we are lucky our players did not get serious injuries.

"Hopefully, Anichebe will be fine after getting some medical attention. Our thoughts will be with him."

The striker is expected to fly out to England on Sunday night.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh My God Nigeria:

because I really love to watch highlights from the Madascar game, I thought try out NTA. you can watch NTA free online. I even wasted my time to wait till the news began.

When they started the sports headlines and informed about the Super Eagles they used old highlights from Nigeria vs Madagascar...

I was confused...why is Odemwingie and Chidi Odiah layin...before I realized OHHHH my God our National Chanel dont have the material from todays match so they used the old material.

This country is a mess..........

Damm it Guinea won 1-0!!!

They have scored one goal mor than we..guinea 11goals and we 10goals and both of us have each minus 3 goals.

So as we all been sayin the 8th of October will be like helll for both teams!!

Please I beg you my people: We need to stop thinking Nija is a power house in football. At the moment all countries are strong. Imagine a u23 Madagascar Team could play 0-0 against our Super Eagles in the first half... you get me.

My point is that Guinea is a good Team and we dont need to fear nobody thats for sure but respect is a must!!
Its going to be hard but the only advantage we have is the huge amount of professionals stars in our team.

Let me explain the diffrence for you guys:

The right discision at the right moment. Only so we can win them. And offcourse we luck.... But I am sure If we stay calm and focuse (This is were Yobo,Ayila..and I hope players like Mikel and Taiwo too will lead the team or in other words make the diffrence) we will win . I am not talking about them scoring goals..........

But come on guys lets be happy for Sudan...

Look i tink it is high time we stop looking to the likes of emmanual emenike, i mean really now make una no doll unaselves ooooo.. emenike is **** wat the ****** hell can he do against the likes of messi and aguero i mean people reallllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy let us try and convince young jewels like victor moses of wigan atheletics to come and play 4 naija before England snatches him from us naija needs about 7 or 8 stars to be great, right now we have about 6, ..Namely Mikel, musa, taiwo, odemwinge and ike uche(needs time to shine again) these are international level stars. and maybe anichebe who is a star if you look at it on african ratings. Now moses on the other hand is a young up and coming future superstar like musa and needs to be snapped up before england do.
