Platinum Stars striker Bradley Grobler has signed a three-year contract with Turkish second division side Goztepe.

The ambitious Turkish club are the fourth biggest in the country in terms of support and are working their way back up to the top-flight after financial struggles forced them to endure four relegations in five years between 2002 and 2007.   They won the third division title last season and are hopeful that Grobler, the biggest signing in the club's history, can help them gain back-to-back promotions this year.   The 23-year-old could make his debut in the local derby against Karşıyaka on the weekend of September 17/18 that will draw 51 000 to Goztepe's İzmir Atatürk Stadium.   "I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone at Platinum Stars and to the Bafokeng Nation as a whole for the support that they have given me from the junior structures at the club through to the first-team," Grobler told the club's website.    "It has always been my dream to play in Europe and the club has supported me all the way in this. I am looking forward to this fresh challenge in Turkey but also wish Platinum Stars the very best for the future."

joining lower ranked soccer country (Turkey), plus lower division there!!!
I am not impressed with this move. It would be better if Grobler joined loacl teams like Supersport United.

If this is for money, then it is good for Grobler himself.

Culturally, Turkish 2nd division is going to be tough. Much like Mvela is a war zone, I suspect Turkey will be for Bradley. There is no doubting his ability and at 23 years its the right time for him to move. Best of Luck.

On another note, Segolela is staying at Pirates. Terrible outcome for this young man.

I saw on SL dat the team has made a third offer for Segolela (de previous two were rejected). Apparently this offer is double de amount from de first offer. But knowing dose pie-city ameatures i won't b suprised if it's rejected as well. Khosi 4 Life..
