Mbesuma surprised many fans when he managed to score 11 goals for Arrows last season, despite only joining in December 2010, midway through the campaign.
"My confidence and form are back," he says. "I am looking to do better for the team this season. It always excites me to score.
"Looking around the quality of players that the coach has assembled, I believe we will have a good season at Arrows."
Mbesuma, who has had stints with Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows and clubs in England and Portugal, has issued a stern warning to his opponents.
"I believe that once Mashego gets to know me, and we understand each other, we will be dangerous. What I like about him is that he is intelligent and mature. He knows when to make a run and lay the ball off."
Despite his current confidence, Mbesuma would not be drawn into backing himself to repeat his incredible performance at Chiefs in 2005, when he scored a sensational 35 goals.
"I really would not like to promise how many goals I will score in the upcoming season, as that would put me in unnecessary pressure. So long as I get the chance to play and score, that will be fine," he says.

mashego,
mbesuma,
magcana,
last season they had brice moon and sangweni and these are internationals,
deadly against week defence like Isaacs, Tefo, Jambo, Sweswe, Tau, Ritchi.
not against Sangweni, Mahamutsa, Thwala, Jele,Legwathi,
Arrows can make it to TOP-4 only if they don't overlook strengtening their defence.
They also have Gert van Schalkwyk who can be a super-sub.
I cannot wait to enjoy new soccer season with Arrows and Igesund's Swallows sharpened to suprise some big gins
Here you go again, with your anti-Chiefs campaign...
If Chiefs gives you nightmares, go and tell your grandmother not us here..sies maan, uyasibhora manje..Chiefs this, Chiefs that..nywe nywe nywe nywe...nx!
Kort Gat: "If Chiefs gives you nightmares, go and tell your grandmother not us here..sies maan"
Its actuallt my grand mother who made me aware that Chiefs lack quality players, i mean if a grunny can see that, why are you people obcessed about.
Majoro was a big hype, played 3 games NO goals and u call this a best signing. Tefu was a loud mouth yet to play a single game. Ritchi is a flop.
Is this the same grandmother who bought three grandpa's at a cafe, and excitedly exclaimed, "Check here, I'm a "playa".
Whats funny is that my grandmother supports Chiefs and he is very critical and not blinded by loyalty.
ugog wami uthi: abafana be Chiefs yimiswahla
Mashego is still the only striker in the PSL who came on as a sub and scored four goals for Supersport against Swallows. In an official game, nogal!
Who can top that?
