Orlando Pirates midfielder Daine Klate has dispelled fears that he may have picked up an injury during the Vodacom Challenge game against Kaizer Chiefs in Port Elizabeth yesterday.
Klate was stretchered off in the second half holding his thigh which raised speculation that he may have picked up a groin injury. The midfielder spent the past six months on the sidelines due to a shoulder injury.
However, speaking to KickOff.com, Klate assured the Bucs faithful that he would be ready for the showdown against Tottenham Hotspur in the Voda final at Coca-Cola Park tomorrow.
"It was not an injury," Klate tells KickOff.com. "My legs felt heavy but I am okay now. It's all been due to the hard work at training; you must remember I was out of the game for some time due to my shoulder injury.
"I am sure I will be ready for the Vodacom Cup final if the coach selects me."
Meanwhile Pirates winger Tlou Segolela says he is ready to continue where he left off against Kaizer Chiefs when Bucs take on Spurs tomorrow.
‘Sox' scored the winning goal for Bucs when they beat Amakhosi 1-0 last night.
"It is always nice to score goals, especially when you do it against a big team like Chiefs. That game is history now and our focus is on the final against Spurs.
"Our supporters are used to us winning now and we will try our best not to disappoint them tomorrow," he adds.
